Motherboard suggestions for r7 5700x3D and 3060TI.

Hey everyone, I’m building my first PC and I’ve already picked up a Ryzen 7 5700X3D and a 3060 Ti. Now I’m just looking for suggestions on what motherboard I should go for. I’d like something that's future-proof. Any recommendations would be really appreciated. Thanks!

there's no reason to spend anywhere near that on a motherboard for your first PC. Unless you're doing high end networking stuff the differences will never even come up.
Spend like, 100 at most. You'd buy AM4 today for value not for getting the absolute best. If you want that you should return both the 5700x3d and the 3060ti.
TBH if you had 200 bucks to spend on the motherboard you probably should have gone for a 3080.

My overall budget was around $1500, and I asked my friend for suggestions. He recommended these parts for that budget. After buying everything, I had $200 left, so I figured why not spend it on a good motherboard. Do you think I could’ve gotten something better for this price?

Yes.

Would just set up the returns if that's still an option tbh

Thanks a lot! This setup is definitely better than what I have. I’ll go ahead with the better cooler you suggested, even if it’s a bit over budget. Really appreciate your help!

I don't think you can get something that's future-proof unless you switch to an AM5 build instead.

I can't use am5 MB for this build?
Mr_Henry_Yau@reddit
Unfortunately, no. You're stuck with AM4.

So what's the best am4 MB i can get for this build under 200$

Best, probably this one, but you could get with spending less money as well. Depends on what IO and functionalities you need (such as WIFI)

Thanks a ton for your help! Really appreciate it.

If you don't need WiFi, I suggest ASRock B550 Steel Legend.
