Looking for feedback on my first build. Getting on AM5 was important to me for future upgradability but did not want to spend extra money on a better GPU right now. Anything that I should consider before pulling the trigger on this?

Instead of spending too much on specs if you spend more money on cooling it will perform better
ChapterLopsided8008@reddit
I think you forgot to add cooling in the list

Dude do not sacrifice the rest of that pc with that pathetic time bomb psu. I could go off about the low level motherboard and the lack of any space for a game on the ssd but the psu is the most important part of a pc.

As a tier C is it really that bad?
The_Machine80@reddit
I'm building my 11th pc for people right now in 2 years. I've never even heard of that psu. The psu should be the most important part hands down. It's the only part that can literally fry every part of your pc. I counter with my own question. With that info why go anything less than tier A? Especially when we are taking 20-40 bucks max.
B1gZW@reddit (OP)
I guess I just assumed the cost difference was much more than that. What are your favorites?

I would buy a Windows 11 key from GroupOn or eBay and put the $100 you saved into getting more storage or upgrade your video card.

You goin to play one game only with that tiny little ssd? Add a 2nd 1tb ssd and it's great.

Can i ask, how will you cool your cpu without a cooler
Beside that, you also must consider buying some fans for the case later on too so it's definitely gonna be over your 1000$ budget if i'm not wrong
B1gZW@reddit (OP)
Read that the stock cooler will do a fine enough job but open to exploring options if you feel that's not the case? And yes I was thinking about eventually buying a couple 120 exhaust fans.

Alr, i was just making sure

Much better board for the same price. It lacks wifi but has a slot for adding an adapter.
I would recommend spending much less on the case so that you can afford a bigger SSD and an RX 6650XT for the GPU.

Helpful. Thank you!

Avoid A620 motherboards, they don't support PBO.
Your PSU is tier E, which means that you shouldn't put in near any of your components if you value them.
You could use a CPU cooler like the ak400 of a Pearless Assassin.
B1gZW@reddit (OP)
Noted. For the PSU, the list I'm looking at has the PS-GSM at tier C (which isn't great) but maybe I'm looking at the wrong list?

You are right, read the G as a B!
