If i use pc during my 34 by flipping to off duty/pc in the middle will it cancel my reset? We use Qualcomm if that's important

You 34 is 34 hours of off duty time. Either In off duty time or sleeper berth or a combination of both.
So I’ll ask you a question ? Is PC off duty ?

Yes it is but I've heard people say that some logs won't let you use pc while on a reset and ive never tried to use it myself so I wanted to be certain
RuneScape420Homie@reddit
Only one way to find out if your companies E-Log allows it.
But yes. You can PC during a 34 and it won’t effect your 34. I’ve done it many times. I’ve also PC’d during a 10. PC is off duty time.

Okay ty Idk if I wanna gamble it but I might we'll see

PC is off duty time. I have a company pick up with elogs I take home everyday. Regularly use it for personal shit during my off hours and since I'm in PC I'm off duty so my reset still ticks away.

Fuck it man. If it don’t work just bitch at dispatch. Just make sure you are careful and don’t put your self into drive and ruin your 34
I may or may not have done that before……..
Oops.
papisilla@reddit
Just absolutely make sure you log it as PC before you start moving

Can personal conveyance time be combined with other off-duty time to complete a 10 or 34-hour break?
Yes, since PC is off-duty time. However, it is important to note that the provision in §392.3 of the FMCSRs, prohibiting the operation of a commercial motor vehicle while ill or fatigued continues to apply.

Does that statue fall under the needing 10 hours sleeper before going on duty
RevCyberTrucker2@reddit
I don't know who told you you need 10 hours of sleeper before driving, but I wouldn't listen to them anymore.

Current company uses Qualcomm. I used PC to Walmart yesterday and probably PC to a diner today for breakfast. Have done it multiple times and never once has it effected my reset. Just don't forget to log off duty when you arrive and don't forget to log PC when you drive back to where you came from. Double check how much PC your company allows. Some do time and some do mileage. We have technically unlimited however safety gets alerted if we pass 1hr of usage in a day.

If you're Qualcomm doesn't allow you to put PC, just log out of it and reject the driving time.
Maleficent_Beyond_95@reddit
That does work, but it would be a company policy violation. (Not a huge deal, but there it is...) But, depending on the auditor, it may be a big DOT problem.
mvamv@reddit
Technically no if it can be proven it was for off duty during 34hr reset.
Maleficent_Beyond_95@reddit
Technically, yes...because the ELD is never supposed to be disconnected.
