i’ve had it for about 3 weeks. sitting at about 1400rds through it. i think next in line is a optics cut from water machine. that’s gonna be down the road since the wait times are so long.
Wager did my SP01 as well. Their current lead times are 3-5 days. It took them 6 days to have my slide cut, cerakoted and back in my mailbox (across the country). I say send it.
I have the same issue. Left hand/right eye. Working on my hands. It sucks. I spend my winters dry firing in the house. Seems to help. My biggest issue is my coordination with trying to draw right handed. It’s SO awkward and slow. I feel like a baby deer taking its first steps.
yeah upon presentation my sights are always wonky. i need to grab a red dot. i think it will help alot with sight alignment and other issues that come with cross dominance:/ im right hand left eye
Also, just more practice. Keep putting rounds down range and keep improving. Take well placed shots, keep recording yourself and keep seeking improvement. Lots of great helpful advice from this sub and people always willing to give constructive feedback. And most of all just enjoy it.
That's what I was thinking. I'm a righty with left eye dominance. Nothing wrong with that but can't try to compensate with that left arm. Looks like he's favoring that. Who knows, need to see the target.
Your support hand needs to do more work. That segmented recoil can be avoided by a tight grip with your dominant hand and your support hand death gripping your dominant hand
-Lean a little forward, notice how your body sways back and foward.
-For better stance balance, get in a fighters stance for better balance. (Shoulder width, heel over toe)
-Lastly, dont hyper extend your arms, find a nice and comfortable extension, and eventually work on short extention (close to the body) and draw shoot (draw from the holster and shoot from holster, expert level)
i need to lose weight because that’s the 6th person that’s told me that😭
and yeah i’ve been playing around with that. i seem to have more trouble locking my wrists when i leave my elbow with more bend. i’ll play around with it more.
My big number one piece of advice for you is not to listen to the people saying to just go shoot more bullets and get better. I grew up that way, been shooting my whole life, and it will make you accurate eventually. But spending the time to go learn proper stance, breathing, and trigger control from a professional shooter/trainer is extremely valuable. You dont wanna reinforce actions that make you less accurate without realizing it.
Place the 1st knuckle of your off hand where the thumb from ypur trigger hand ends, wrap off hand around so your first finger joint is under the trigger guard (on top of your fingers that are already there), then lock your off hand thumb down into the gap that creates until both of your wrists are at the same angle.
Don't waste time and brainpower anticipating the shot going off, just relax and let it happen.
Always shoot on your exhale.
Put the tip of your finger flat on the face of the trigger and imagine pushing a rod going back through your arm straight back to push a button.
Apply gentle steady pressure until the trigger breaks naturally. You don't have to slap it like a strippers ass.
I can’t see where the slide is but make sure your thumb isn’t at risk of contacting it. Slowing it down can prevent it cycling properly by even slight contact.
Also might just be the angle but you might be slapping the trigger a bit on a few of those.
it’s a cz sp01 so it’s got a big ol dust cover and real estate for my thumb. but yeah, i think i did slap a few. still getting used to the gun, only have about 1k down it.
Ya that checks out. Sitting on the couch after safe checking it and squishing the trigger, pinning it, racking the slide, feeling the release repeat and focusing on the break and rest helps a lot. Also helps cycle those new springs a bit.
There's a comedian named Shane Gillis. He's pretty funny, you should check him out. You look JUST like him. I thought you were actually him for a second.
When I was a kid my Dad used to get mistaken for Chuck Norris a lot. We'd be sitting in a diner or somewhere & people would come up asking for his autograph.
Take your time. Bring it back to its original landing point. You can see the muzzle drift low left with every shot. Dry fire at home to learn how Not to anticipate the shot.

Put 1-2k rounds through it, polish the internals and slap a Cajun Gun Works Pro Package in it. Completely elevated my SP-01 Tactical.

who did the hammer and trigger silver?
Floppy_Dong666@reddit
That’s the Cajun Gun Works race hammer and “flat” trigger.
Here’s the kit I installed, it’s for decocker models. I changed the hammer spring (15lb) and use the 14lb recoil spring.
If yours is a manual safety model, it would be this kit.
aidancrow654@reddit (OP)
i appreciate it man, i might do the single action conversion. i find myself rarely using the DA
Floppy_Dong666@reddit
If I had the manual safety, I would likely do SAO as well. Those triggers are nuts.

Think of making a triangle your arms should be the sides and your shoulders the bottom. Arms dont need to be hyper extended, just a natural bend

If looks like you’re shooting left hand/right eye dominant. Maybe just the camera angle. Just curious.

yeah i am, trying to train it out.

Me too. Try this, with your gun empty bring your gun to your chest and then out, square off the stance, balance, grip, forward.

Just need more range time. If you can shoot with a buddy. Training/practicing by your self only instills bad habits.
