Not everyone hates us

Came back from a hike at the Painted Canyon Rest area in North Dakota and a non trucker had left a bag of snacks and a nice note on my steps. Honestly when I first saw it I thought one of you other heathens had left your trash! And if, by chance, the lady who left the snacks is on here, THANK YOU! Cold Gatorade after a hot hike hit the spot.

Cotc home of 100% tarp freight, slow trucks and no headache racks, proper vehicle maintenance is also in serious question
Additional-Boat4415@reddit
Also the home of micromanaging 👌🏻

I literally never hear from anyone. It might be because I do my job the best I can, take pride in the things I do, and always strive to be better than I was yesterday.
Additional-Boat4415@reddit
That’s great 😃
KlineyKline@reddit (OP)
Definitely not
KlineyKline@reddit (OP)
We are governed. New trucks have Cummins. We tarp a lot but this year I've tarped 60% of my loads. I get tarp pay. And have no problem with maintenance. So unless you're a disgruntled previous employee I'm not sure why you're even commenting. ✌🏼
travisrda@reddit
That’s funny i knew exactly what company that was by the color of the truck. I used to work on the trucks doing their tires. Stay safe out there there. Oh yeah is Dave still in the concierge booth in Redmond?
KlineyKline@reddit (OP)
Dave is still there! Kickin ass and taking names. 😂
g0d_help_me@reddit
How about Denny? He was arguably the best DC when I worked for them. Was always willing to offer advice or a hand when needed, but also privately called you on your shit if you were fucking up.
KlineyKline@reddit (OP)
He's my driver coach! Him and Dave have both helped me a ton during my time there.
g0d_help_me@reddit
Dave B was mine when I worked there, as I started in quads. He was a great guy to work for. Very patient when I would inevitably fuck something up (no accidents or claims, just stupid rookie flatbedder shit). I would probably still be with them if they had management were more like those 2 and the pay was better. From what I hear, it has gone down hill a lot from what it was.
KlineyKline@reddit (OP)
I can't speak to what it used to be. I've been here about 2 years and I'm happy. I got hired at 64 cents/mile and 100/tarp but they have recently changed it to a progressive pay for new hires starting at 60 and going up based on performance. We had too many people coming in and fucking shit up. Veteran drivers pay didn't change.
g0d_help_me@reddit
I worked there about 5ish years ago. They had just transitioned from mileage/accessorial pay to what they called "performance pay." Basically, the more mileage you got done in a week, the higher your cpm. Non tarp pay, detention, breakdown, or anything like that. Glad they went back to cpm and tarp pay. I know they lost a lot of their longer term drivers due to messing with the pay structure.
KlineyKline@reddit (OP)
Yeah that sounds crazy. Miles are really not always based on driver performance. Just luck of where you're at a lot of times.
g0d_help_me@reddit
Hence why the drivers left. It was a part of the reason why I left as well. The nanny cams was another. When they started testing systems, they swore that they wouldn't have driver facing cams. Then they broiled out the cameras and they were all driver facing. Another reason I left was they cut out of route miles from 2% of trip total to 20 for the whole trip. I got a writeup because the route planer insisted I could drive over the gulf of Mexico to go from Pensacola to Tampa instead of using the road.
KlineyKline@reddit (OP)
Lol. They fixed that. All our trucks are amphibious now! 😂
travisrda@reddit
I was working on their trucks back in the day when they were in Terrebonne then through the move into their new shop then they got bought out…
idontlikemeeitherok@reddit
I also recognized the company by the color, confirmed by location haha. I'm a truck tech on i5 and see their trucks all the time.
spyder7723@reddit
Oregon trucking company or some such name? The open deck company with green trucks?
Immediate_Leave6189@reddit
I took a screenshot of this post and put it in the Supply Chain Crisis actors fb page, she said she was in the blue chevy truck parked next to you:)
Kai_Tenbears@reddit
Crisis actors? As in the ones that pretend to be a victim of a crime?
KlineyKline@reddit (OP)
"supply chain crisis" like from COVID, I think.
KlineyKline@reddit (OP)
That's awesome didn't know about it! That's awesome. Thank you!

KlineyKline@reddit (OP)
Honestly it looks good but it's just ever so crooked. The COTC on the front flap is sitting like 2° off of level. 😂
mrmaximowski@reddit
Is this a Central Oregon Trucking unit? Nice minty color :)
KlineyKline@reddit (OP)
Yep. I think it's a perfect color especially spending so much time in the desert. Hides dirt really well too.
UOLZEPHYR@reddit
COTC ?

Yuh
JustLTL@reddit
A blowjob would be better then a bag of snacks just saying lol.
That is really nice of people though. I was once stuck at a truck stop on Christmas and a nice couple came by and was giving us all bags of snacks and thanks for what you guys do, I like wow that's super nice to take time out of your holiday and do this thank yall so much I really appreciate it.
anonandlit333@reddit
I travel constantly as a PI and I always sympathize with the truckers I share the road with. Much calmer drivers to share the roads with than most passenger cars.
roblee2824@reddit
That's awesome

Pics of tarp job?
illthrowawaysomeday@reddit
Cotc tarps almost everything, so most drivers are pretty good at it
ShoebillJoe@reddit
This was my first ask lol. Tarps are the way us flatbedders dick measure. I need to know if his is bigger than mine!
KlineyKline@reddit (OP)
😂😂
KlineyKline@reddit (OP)
Tarp fetish, huh?
GrAyFoX312k@reddit
Bruh you got snacks for yours, you must be doing SOMETHING right.
Pure-Anything-585@reddit
and how do we know it's not some sick fuck who poisoned the food for the trucker to accept and then die from?

That's nice of her, but "threw" is so LOL

I'm going through a few things with my ex and may need to plead to a harassment charge as opposed to risking Contempt of a Court Order verdict. The whole thing is crap, the original restraining order was not based on any sort of physical violence, and the possibility of dismissal is also possible. If I am forced to plead, "harassment" is considered a "Petty Disorderly Person" conviction. I just got my CDL A and want my Hazmat endorsement and TWIC. Would a Petty Disorderly affect this? my record is clean otherwise.

Look up Jesse Barrymore or Joe Seppi on social media and this post will make more sense. Joe is very active on TikTok and YouTube and often has people leaving bags of goodies on his step.

There’s good folks out there. We just have the misfortune of typically being where they aren’t, especially on the roads.

I'm feeling this and not only that it assurance there's still good people in the world
unloader86@reddit
Well hopefully your not Joe or Jesse. lol
KlineyKline@reddit (OP)
Yeah, I wonder if the tarp rating would have been lower? Everyone but those two gets an automatic handicap 😂
