Maybe not last season (although it was definitely still good), but this current season definitely has some episodes that are up there with the OG ones. Some of them (“Take A Bow” and “The Day Butt-head Went Too Far” come to mind) are really creative and well-written in ways that even the older episodes weren’t (not a diss towards those old episodes, obviously).

I agree to this heavily! I never thought a revival series would live up to the original, let alone be BETTER in some ways, but it is, so I hope the revival series lives at least as long as the OG series.

I expected to be "meh" like the 2011 revival but this revival is on a whole new level of creativity.

It was already several episodes into production when you posted this. When Johnny Hardwick died, it was revealed he'd already done 3+ episodes worth of lines from the new KotH. I'd rather see B&BH s3 sooner, but this is what we're getting. Expect Dale to die around the 4th episode.

Longer episodes? I kind of feel like they're pretty much the perfect length. If anything, the actual episodes are longer than they ever were. Some of the old episodes have barely any actual episode at all, and are mostly music videos.

And a new Old Beavis and Old Butt-Head episode that brings back Todd. For some reason I see him finding religion and Beavis and Butt-Head rip on him for being, by their definition, a wuss.

"Execution"
Old Beavis and Butthead are contacted by Todd, who is on Death Row at the Polunsky Unit and due to his previous lifestyle has no one else, so he wants the two to be witnesses at his execution.

Todd was a prick in the original series, and I could see him ending up like this.

I don't think it should be effected that much due to the writer's strike, since most animation writers are under TAG and not WGA. It's also typical for writers on most animated productions to write scripts for at least 2 episodes of a possible new season of their show, so that if it gets renewed, production can hit the ground running right away. Apparently the budget for season 3 has already been approved. Not sure what they're waiting for

I think the show is legally a different entity.

On Paramount + it’s listed as “Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-head” with 2 seasons (currently) and the original run (+ the 2011 season) is just listed as “Beavis and Butt-head” (obviously with many episodes missing)
