Dublin Ireland or Dubai UAE?

I’m Portuguese who lived 7 years in Dublin Ireland. Now I’m taking a “break year” living in Southern Asia and opening my own company / startup completely remote but I need a place that is startup friendly and where I can pay less taxes.
Both Dublin Ireland and Dubai UAE are considered tax heavens for companies and startups. I go visit Dubai every year (I love that place despite the negative aspects) but I also love Ireland.
If you were in my position, what would you choose? Considering I’m opening a new business.
The advantage of Dublin Ireland is being inside the EU market but Dubai has a whole blockchain and IoT community that is what I’m looking for.
What would you do in my position? I can’t back to Portugal because the taxes there are ridiculous high and Portugal market is irrelevant, too small for a business to be successful.

Ermm, not so much on the "start up" front. At least, not from what I have heard. Keep in mind, if you are starting a business, even doing a "start up" for fun, you will have to go through a lengthy process to register your business. The UAE's process is quite slow, from what I have heard from individuals I used to work with in Dubai/Abu Dhabi that dealt with the government in their business development roles.

Having lived in both places I personally 100% prefer living in the UAE versus Dublin. However I guess your question is coming from the perspective of starting a business rather than just comparing cities.
I think Dubai markets itself as the dream entrepreneur start up place however what I’ve been hearing is that’s there still a lot of red tape and banking struggles for startups. Unfortunately I can’t comment on Dublin on this point.
Perhaps reach out to some startup initiatives like DIFC Fintech Hive or the MENA Fintech Association to get a better feel for the startup community here and what to expect.

Dxb. Easy in papers. Less dramas unlike Europe. More money. Weather is tough- but that's in both. Bureaucracy kills in Europe especially for anything new or innovative.
