Where is Pic number 3 at?
NYerInTex@reddit (OP)
Thanksgiving Square - there’s a below street level small park / plaza there. Cool little respit

Maybe I missed it but where is the bagel from? Star gate/starhip?
NYerInTex@reddit (OP)
Starship Bagels - located in the Alley next to The Eye / in front of the Joule Hotel

TY!

Great photo!

I work near starship on Elm and tried going a few times during the week but bad timing and never opened. After seeing the pics I need to try again.

I love the framing of interesting architecture. Angles really soothe my brain. Also, what's your favorite bagel? Poppyseed? Cinnamon? Everything bagel?
NYerInTex@reddit (OP)
I’m an old school Onion, easy on the regular cream cheese.
I’ll occasionally mix it up with an Everything or Garlic or an occasional Salt that I eat whole like a pretzel

Wow!
Sass_McQueen64@reddit
What bagel place is this? 👀👀👀👀
SalamanderTasty1807@reddit
OMG! The weather was spectacular today. You've inspired me to do a nice little Sunday Brunch walk tomorrow.

Pretty good little Saturday

About as perfect as the come round these parts. And tomorrow is football!

I did the same thing this morning. About a mile and a half from my apartment to Starship. You must have gotten there before me because I got the last everything bagel
NYerInTex@reddit (OP)
Damn! I got there later than usual, just around 10:30 (usually I’m there between 9-10). Had maybe a half dozen onions (my go to) and as you can see a lot of everything. It seems they begin to run out around 11 and by 11:30 it can get dicey. I’ll go onion which I believe they make a lot less of but they also sell out earlier usually, then everything.
Sometimes I’ll eat a salt bagel like a pretzel but those are so much better when the bagel is warm
ice-eight@reddit
Oh well then I guess they restocked after I got there because I was there around 9:30. Line was a lot longer this morning than it's been during the summer since the weather was so nice.
NYerInTex@reddit (OP)
Interesting. That makes sense as it’s an outpost and I assume they do they baking at their north dallas location and maybe do a mid morning restock.
What did you end up getting?
ishyc@reddit
Yes, the baking is done in Lewisville ... those damn bagels are an addiction . :)

I’m always here for the bagel pics!

Gorgeous pictures!
Walking around in the city, I am sure you are used to seeing the same sights over and over. What catches your eye/how do you decide what pictures to take to keep things from being monotonous?
NYerInTex@reddit (OP)
I wish there were some method I could impart.
I walk, have my headphones in, and then I see something cool.
What catches my eye are angles and juxtaposition of shapes. So you’ll see pics coming up / looking through circles or the square architectural treatment looking vertical up the building
Reflections of buildings on other buildings catch my eye. And angles where you have multiple buildings reaching for the sky… and modern vs classic architecture does it too.
But really it’s just cool shapes and angles that I see and take a pic? Often if not almost always tilting my camera (just my phone) on an angle rather than a straight up shot
Arthurs_librarycard9@reddit
Thanks for the response! I am terrible at photography myself, but I think it is such a beautiful medium.
I have lived in the DFW area my entire life, and pictures like yours help me reflect on the beauty that I often times overlook.

Great pics! Love the thanksgiving plaza area!

Fun fact: Dallas Texas has a Stargate

I’m also just learning this and I thought I knew every part of downtown.

I proposed at Thanks-Giving Square. One of my favorite places!

I came here to see dogs.... need to pay closer attention to what I am reading.

That 6th pic is so awesome

Thanks! That’s the D Mag building (technically now named VUE, it’s the one with the big D up top, where D Magazine has its HQ - before I moved here and as I was decided whether or not to do so from NY I attended a series of meetings on one of the top unfinished floors. Not sure if the building had reopened yet as it was undergoing renovations…
I looked out to a lot of parking lots that are now buildings, including where I live now!

I see you're improving at not putting the bagel straight on the table
NYerInTex@reddit (OP)
That one just didn’t make the cut this time.
As you can see I do tempt fate though
