Favorite Supporting Character in Sitcom

Thinking about sitcoms from your childhood, who would you say is your favorite supporting character?
I'd say for me it's Aunt Esther from Sanford & Son.

Dan Fielding. Womanizing 80s yuppie was a fun caricature, even if it wouldn't fly today. Every so often, though, he'd get a storyline where you saw the other side and some depth. Even as a kid, that appealed to me.

I'd say Rona from '2 point 4 children.' Always getting the messages wrong on her cheap mobile phone.

I love Larry, Darryl, and Darryl. Such a simple joke but so genius.

William Sanderson, who played Larry was a neighbor of mine. He also played Sabastian in Blade Runner.

That’s cool! Was he a nice guy?

Yeah, super nice and down to earth.

I have laughed out loud, every single time they did that bit, or every time I've seen or read it since....
Including this post.

Philip Washington Stubbs from Ed. In actual fact almost all the supporting cast were superb. (New to Reddit and now off to see if there's an Ed sub)

I’m the eldest of us (‘65) and I loved Aunt Ester too. My dad was a Redd Foxx fan so I’d heard his old stand up stuff my dad had on vinyl and we always watched Sanford & Son.
But Karen Walker from the first season’s of Will and Grace is hands down my favorite.

Probably of all time would be Major Healey on I Dream Of Jeannie. I always loved Bill Daly's comic delivery.
I also have to mention that the only reason I watched Alice was for Vera and Mel.

Kramer in Seinfeld.
