Community maintained dot files??

Are there any dot files maintained by the community for window managers like swaywm? So far I have been using ones from Unix porn but after 1-2 months the users switch to a new rice but that's not something I enjoy doing what are my choices? New to Linux so can't make my own one quite yet either

You should start with the default config and edit it to your needs.

I know it doesn't answer your question really but everyone has a different distro, packages, bars, launchers, keyboard, shorcuts, etc...
The hole point of Tiling Window Manager is to configure it to your exact needs. AND that's a great way to learn to read documentation, edit files, bash scripting, and basic understanding of the file structure on Linux.

Let's say I found a dotfile I love and want to use it forever but won't that mean updating it if anything changes in sway waybar rofi etc how would I know how to update it?

You would have to adapt the config to your system anyways. not only things can change over time, but also you will have different softwares installed on your pc.

Things will break and you'll need to fix. If you want to live in the world of ricing you'll need to learn how to do things by yourself That's pretty much the point of ricing

There's not much you can do other than maintaining it yourself if no one else wants to maintain it methinks
Closest to community maintained is probably the default look of distros

Some WM have great docs, like i3 / sway / awesome.
You just read it (it take literally one or two evenings) and then do what YOU want and need.
At least it worked for me, in first iteration of using i3 i took somebody's config, then read manual, spent week or two with some tweaks here and there and never touched config ever since :-)

there are several projects on github that have evolved to being AIO installation scripts. like this one, they even wrote their own tool to make scripting easier

a lot of the rice enthusiasts have moved on to hyprland, so idk how many updated projects you could find for sway
