BRN-180 is made in conjunction with PWS, so it’s mostly the same. Personally I love mine.
The Arak should be comparable in most respects, but I’d probably go with a BRN-180 since the price is about the same and PWS > better than Faxon most of the time. The BRN-180 is also a design that’s been around for a long time and will probably be easier to find parts for long term.
This is just the Faxon version of a self-contained upper that doesn't require use of a buffer tube. I have no experience with them from my end. I wanted to take one out and try it, but need to get some invoices paid.
Mod 2 or bust to match my pws SBR'd lower and other mod 2 m111 uppies. If not mod 2 then I'd entertain crazy ideas like arak, but only because it sounds like a southern pronunciation of Iraq.
I don't really care about the ambi stuff. I grabbed my MK116 Mod1 when they were crazy cheap, all in after the transfer it was like $960 for the full rifle.

What is the story on these? I like Faxon barrels but have no experience with these uppers.
