Normie colonization
Nothing new
First the internet then videogames then everything else
I DONT CARE ABOUT GENDER EXPRESSION GIVE ME GOOD VIDEOGAMES BACK
Gender expression and normies aren’t what’s making video games bad, don’t be an idiot
Video games are bad now because it’s a mega industry monopolized by a small handful of companies that care only about their shareholders and microtransactions.
Normies dont know wtf made things good in the first place and since they are all obcessed with being a part of "the cool new thing" they want it tailored to their stupid choices and ideas
The corporation only wants to sell shit, if nazism got as much followers as it did before ,they would not wait a single Second before pushing out facism related content
Stupid people that dont know wtf is quality and will consume anything that is cool and trendy and corporations that do not care and want only to sell as much as possible
Yes but it’s the profiteering and monopolization that makes it bad no matter what is popular
If nazism were popular that would ALSO be bad but that’s a separate bad.
Things being popular doesn’t make them bad. Pronouns do not fundamentally change the way a game is produced or played. Having a gay character does not change the way a game is produced or played. It’s all only shallow, surface-level lip-service being paid to whats popular. But the corporate greed is baked in
Games already had all of those "new features" you can find all flavours of gay and skin tone characters in games released in the past if you look deep enough into it
The whole point is, they are selling the details as main points
-Does it work?
-No but it has all of the mumbo jumbo that makes the tiktokbrained stupid buy it then fuck it
What you are belligerently refusing to understand is how fucking shallow that is.
If it weren’t those “features” it would be different ones. It doesn’t actually matter what it’s catering to because it would be surface level no matter what. The only thing that runs deep is the megacorp stranglehold on the market.
Do you remember when Activision, Blizzard, Ubisoft, and Bethesda were all separate companies competing with each other? Now every single one of them is Microsoft. They don’t have to make good products because what are you gonna do, switch to an alternative?
You are acting like people dont have freewill they (still) do no one forces you to buy anything (yet) the gaming industry is rotten from the inside for years now, that is true for the fact that people still consume their products without caring about quality, the pronouns and diverse idea is just their new bait to hook in the newest big fish in the market. And it works, it works not because it is the biggest manipulation tatic ever created if it was why even bother selling anything at all?, it works because people cant see over the paper thin wall that creates that safe space, maybe if we focused less on this needs to be 50% more diverse NOW and more on the, this is not worth my money it would be better
The more you learn about biology, the more you realize that so called “free will” is extremely limited if it exists at all. In fact, the ONLY evidence in favor of free will is “it feels like I have free will” and “it would make me uncomfortable if I didn’t think I had free will.” But we have yet to discover any concrete evidence in favor of it.
The parts of your brain that involve conscious experience have extraordinarily little say over your actual actions. The majority of the things you do are controlled by processes that you don’t directly access
The corporations already know this, and they’ve spent decades of time and tens of billions of dollars learning how to bypass your “free will” to exploit and control the parts of your brain that are responsible for your purchasing behavior.
And once again, if all that weren’t true, it wouldn’t be a multi-billion dollar industry. It works. They know it works. And it works a hell of a lot better at determining human action than “free will” ever has.
Let me give an example. Across dozens of studies, it has been shown that on average, a fast food product packaged with the color red will sell roughly 20% better than an identical product without the red packaging. This is the reason why almost every fast food brand heavily uses the color red in their brand identity.
Why is that? Is that "free will"? Do you genuinely believe that people consciously considered the color red and used their logical processing to decide "oh well, I didn't realize the packaging was red, now I'm going to buy the food because of that"?
No. Nobody had that conscious process. Nobody did that on purpose. But somehow, the red sold 20% better. Somehow, people who wouldn't have bought the identical product in different packaging *would* buy the product with the red packaging.
That's because what you think of as "you," your "free will" and conscious thought takes place in the frontal lobe. And your frontal lobe doesn't give a shit what the packaging looks like. But the packaging isn't for the frontal lobe. It's not for "you" to use your "free will" to consider whether or not you want to make that purchase.
The red packaging is for your Amygdala. It excites that center of your brain, which doesn't think things through, it simply responds emotionally. And it sends that emotional impulse to the rest of your brain. It tells you "I want that." Your rational processing can then decide, based on this desire, whether or not you're actually going to do make the purchase, which is why it doesn't literally mind control you, but if the impulse is made strong enough through enough factors, your brain will be biased in favor of making the purchase.
And the red is only one small factor in one specific case. But there's billions of dollars of research designed specifically to create as many of these factors as possible. And the more that they can come up with, the more your rational brain is dedicated not to deciding whether or not the purchase is worth it but rather towards rationalizing why its actually okay for you to have done that.
I’m sorry it sounds that way, but it’s pretty much irrefutable.
Call it whatever you like, those are just the facts
And again, if it weren’t true it wouldn’t be a multi-billion dollar industry. You don’t put billions and billions of dollars into something that isn’t real
Surprised you haven’t doubled over in a state of catatonia trying to explain beyond-basic levels of sociological analysis of market trends to chuds who think the gay agenda wants to cut off their penis and throw it into the firebox of the steam engine powering the last remaining Concord server.
Im not against gay people
Im just not very happy about videogames being trash nowdays because people are bad at understanding wtf is quality and what it makes it work
If it was a 10/10 with pronouns and fully motioncaptured gay sex scenes i would not care
The whole issue is, they are trying to hook people atention by being "diverse" and people are buying that
Average (non-gamer) person (AKA normie) is only going to buy a game to play with friends, thus live service-style games always win out.
Average person is only going to play a couple hours a week, thus daily login and battlepass systems always win out.
Average person is willing to pay to skip gameplay if they can't invest time (this is the big one) and so pay-to-win always wins out.
Basically average person will buy into a live service game, represent a small server resource requirement due to not playing all that often while also buying microtransactions in the form of battlepasses and gameplay skips.
Meanwhile the minuscule minority of people who play enough to actually appreciate all of the shitty parts of the game will seethe and seethe and seethe but still give the companies engagement and money.
Corpos understand at least this much and so just play the winning hand every time to print money with live service games franchises that are always copy-pasted derivatives of themselves
Not even normie related? Online server means every player has a copy of the game means sales up compared to local multiplayer where you only need one copy of the game.
Online is also much easier now with the advent of services like discord so you get a similar effect to local multiplayer.
Battlepasses aren't funded by normies with low rates of playing they're funded by whales who don't log off somehow.
In spite of all this good games are still released they're just held to a higher and higher standard every year with indie games thriving as well.
What do people actually mean complaining about games in current year when they're better than ever.
Do you understand how fucking shallow and stupid of a point that is?
It doesn’t matter what the normies want. If they wanted something other than pronouns, the corpos would do that on an equally shallow surface level
The only thing that runs deep is the corporate consolidation. They don’t have to make good games because making a good product is always less profitable than simply choking out the market.
Do you remember when Bethesda, Blizzard, Ubisoft, and Activision were all separate companies that had to COMPETE with each other for an audience? Now it doesn’t matter which you pick because they’re all Microsoft. If they all make bullshit games, what are you gonna fucking do about it, go to an alternative? The ones that disappear as every single day goes by.
You are missing the forest for the trees. The normies are not different from you. The normies are cattle for corporate slaughter. You are cattle for corporate slaughter. And you’re a fucking idiot for blaming the other cows instead of the goddamn butcher.
See. I defined my terms I didn't separate myself from them. Don't make that mistake. And don't accuse that point because you are insulted by what I suggest.
And no. What the average person wants is all that matters for corporate types because that is how they make decisions for games. The average person (which I have been shorthanding as "normie") fulfills every thing I have said and that is sufficient to predict every design and monetary decision the live service games that exist anymore will make.
Would you rather I call it "data driven design"? Would you rather I fully enunciate the exact flowchart that is almost certainly paraphrased in some form or another by the C-suites that are ultimately greenlighting these games? It was never necessary to go deeper into it than what I did because there isn't anything deeper behind it.
All of the shitty games we see nowadays are built on analysis of the greatest common denominator among all potential and existing customers. Whatever fundamental system and game design it is appeals to the largest swath of people possible and therefore maximizes net profit vs gross expense is what you get. These games are buggy, badly designed, boring, pandering, and every other possible sin but yet they are always financially successful because the average person or normie or whatever term you want to assign to them will usually buy the game, play a bit, pay for some microtransactions and then fuck off and stop draining server resources and they will come back for every new installment and update and repeat the cycle until the franchise is finally axed or dies.
That is my point and you clearly never understood it.
Free market means competition. This is increasingly a consolidated market. As the market falls into the hands of fewer and fewer organizations, natural market pressures such as supply and demand matter considerably less compared to "whatever the team of evil sociologists decide you will be buying today."
In the gaming industry at least, smaller developers are actually able to meaningfully compete with Tripe A companies, since the barrier for entry is much lower and large companies with shareholders are more likely to stick to what is safe

98% of human history has been more or less the exact same. It’s the past 12,000 years or so that are interesting, the past 300 have seen rapid change, and the past 100 have seen extreme rapid change.
The first arguable cellphone was made in 1973. Cellphones have been available to the public since 1983. The most sold cell phone in the world the Nokia 1100 was launched in 2003. The first iPhone came out in 2007.
To be fair your phone isn't running any of the good AIs, it's connecting to a server that does all the heavy lifting, but it's still very impressive technological improvement in a very short time.
Many phones are powerful enough to run AI on device actually, it's just not that common because they are large and decimate your battery (plus the speed is pretty subpar)
I imagine telling my 12 year-old self, forget about flat screen TVs you can hang on the wall like a painting. Nobody cares.
But right after that, I would definitely tell him we can't actually run AIs on a device that fits in our pockets that has more computing power than, like, the entire planet in 1983. We just have to link to that server that had no way to exist in your time, and they would run the AI for us. On our phones.
When I tell people I don't have social media like Facebook/Twitter or Instagram they think I'm a creep. People wanna stalk you on social media apps and if your not on them they can't and believe you have something to hide.
I mean, you do know otw actually just that Facebook is a very easy and casual way to make an initial connection and provides avenues for important social activities like group chats/event invites that don't involve giving your personal phone number to people?
please tell me why i would want to interact with complete randos on facebook and attend their events. the people i want to talk to have my phone number and know my name on messenger. the rest can fuck off.
Yes if you know me you either have my discord or my phone number and that's all you need. I deleted Facebook when I was in highschool because it was all just shit posts worse than reddit. I also don't give a fuck about everyone elses lifes and random things happening.
yes, that's why we catch up when we see eachother in person. or chat over text. what do you and your friends say to eachother when you meet? just repeat everything youve already seen on facebook? boring.
my family and friends reach out to me via (facebook, yes) messenger, text, or phone like normal people to inform me of events. has worked fine so far, couldn't care less about a facebook event.
gamer "friends" are on discord. who has their online friends on facebook?
also facebook messenger is a separate app and doesn't require an active facebook account.
for fuck's sake i was rejected from the first round of HR interview because they couldn't find anything online. they saif their company values a "personal brand". DUDE I AINT DEALING WITH NO CLIENTS OR MARKETING WHO THE FUCK AM I TRYNNA ATTRACT HERE
That’s not the same as talking to people all the time online. They want you to have the accounts but they don’t give a shit if you’re on them all the time.
So the reason why I said "stalked" is because I've seen friends of mine do this, they meet someone new and when they are gone they ask around for their last name and checks their Facebook. Now they don't just add you as a friend they wanna "stalk" and see what exactly your up to and so on. If you don't have anything on your page they will just assume you have no life worth posting.
Maybe it's me over analysing and I'm just autistic but that's what I've seen happen multiple times.
You act like people thought you were normal until you told them that you don’t use social media. They probably thought you’re a creep anyways and used this as ammunition
I remember when I was around the early teen age (2013-2016). Calling guys was something you only did if your friend didn't have a phone. If they did, then sending anything more then 2 texts before receiving a reply was considered gay.
Now texting culture is making the texts as little as possible
Women simply go by whatever the consensus of the population is, they don't think "are my beliefs reasonable?" They think to themselves "will other people accept me for believing this?"

Blah132454675@reddit
What a creepy loser weirdo lmao
Kcolb3@reddit
What,why ?
Ok-Average1731@reddit
When I tell people I don't have social media like Facebook/Twitter or Instagram they think I'm a creep. People wanna stalk you on social media apps and if your not on them they can't and believe you have something to hide.
Iron-Fist@reddit
I mean, you do know otw actually just that Facebook is a very easy and casual way to make an initial connection and provides avenues for important social activities like group chats/event invites that don't involve giving your personal phone number to people?
Superfragger@reddit
please tell me why i would want to interact with complete randos on facebook and attend their events. the people i want to talk to have my phone number and know my name on messenger. the rest can fuck off.
Ok-Average1731@reddit
Yes if you know me you either have my discord or my phone number and that's all you need. I deleted Facebook when I was in highschool because it was all just shit posts worse than reddit. I also don't give a fuck about everyone elses lifes and random things happening.
Iron-Fist@reddit
"Why don't I have friends and close relationships?"
Mobile_Molasses_9876@reddit
So. Is this Iron-fist regard actually Zuck, or just a Faceboob shill?
"Ermahgerd! I has no Facederk! I has no friendz!!!"
Gets paid to promote billion-dollar internet company: has no idea how internet works. Many such cases.
Iron-Fist@reddit
Hi it's me, Mark.
Ok-Average1731@reddit
Did I say I don't have friends? Because I do but I don't talk to them on social media I do it irl, seems like you've been online too long buddy
Iron-Fist@reddit
Do you care about them and their lives?
Superfragger@reddit
yes, that's why we catch up when we see eachother in person. or chat over text. what do you and your friends say to eachother when you meet? just repeat everything youve already seen on facebook? boring.
Iron-Fist@reddit
It's just you said earlier you don't care about anyone else's life. I'm glad that isn't the case. And yes Facebook is just one tool.
Iron-Fist@reddit
Who does this? Facebook is literally a way to curate your social media to just friends...
Like friends birthdays? Cousins BBQ? Nieces graduation? It's just a nice, easy, cheap, low pressure way to invite people to things.
That's weird to me; you give your gamer friends your phone #? You give your group project members your phone #?
... You mean Facebook messenger?
Facesit_Freak@reddit
You give your gamer friends your Facebook?
Iron-Fist@reddit
I give em my discord
Superfragger@reddit
my family and friends reach out to me via (facebook, yes) messenger, text, or phone like normal people to inform me of events. has worked fine so far, couldn't care less about a facebook event.
gamer "friends" are on discord. who has their online friends on facebook?
also facebook messenger is a separate app and doesn't require an active facebook account.
Iron-Fist@reddit
Similar vibes, both tools, I also use discord for gamer friends.
LoL ok then, an interesting choice.
heavy_lobby@reddit
I mean, you (the reader) do know that nobody cares [note: no one asked] why you (redditor) have a facebook? It's just that simple lol
Iron-Fist@reddit
Hey man calm down nbd
Specialist-Bit-7746@reddit
for fuck's sake i was rejected from the first round of HR interview because they couldn't find anything online. they saif their company values a "personal brand". DUDE I AINT DEALING WITH NO CLIENTS OR MARKETING WHO THE FUCK AM I TRYNNA ATTRACT HERE
Facesit_Freak@reddit
LinkedIn and its consequences have been a disaster for the job market
Maximillion322@reddit
Our society has just gotten to a point where the level of information that is socially expected to be publicly shared has increased
The internet has significantly decreased the expectation of privacy
Professional_Ad_9101@reddit
Maybe you’re just a creep
Gearski@reddit
Idk man who wants to use 34 social apps? Women only surely
Professional_Ad_9101@reddit
I’m saying maybe he’s a creep because he’s a creep not because of his lack of socials
KingGhandy@reddit
Yeah I'd say you're projecting, that's a very strange way to think.
Professional_Ad_9101@reddit
Projecting that nobody cares lmao? They don’t. You’re either very young or a weirdo if you think this way
KingGhandy@reddit
There you go again, projecting.
Professional_Ad_9101@reddit
Found the weirdo !
KingGhandy@reddit
Yeah I think we have!
Professional_Ad_9101@reddit
Glad you agree!
Maximillion322@reddit
Man that’s completely overreacting. All you have to do is post something inoffensive on instagram once every six months and you’re fine
Dripht_wood@reddit
That’s not the same as talking to people all the time online. They want you to have the accounts but they don’t give a shit if you’re on them all the time.
Ok-Average1731@reddit
So the reason why I said "stalked" is because I've seen friends of mine do this, they meet someone new and when they are gone they ask around for their last name and checks their Facebook. Now they don't just add you as a friend they wanna "stalk" and see what exactly your up to and so on. If you don't have anything on your page they will just assume you have no life worth posting.
Maybe it's me over analysing and I'm just autistic but that's what I've seen happen multiple times.
Shufflekarpfen@reddit
You act like people thought you were normal until you told them that you don’t use social media. They probably thought you’re a creep anyways and used this as ammunition
Kcolb3@reddit
Having social media ~~=~~ only talking to people online
Professional_Ad_9101@reddit
This lol
Jvnr500@reddit
????? All people do is criticize on how i only laugh when i look at my phone like I'm mentally ill (I am).

philouza_stein@reddit
I caught a lot of shit texting people in 2003. Guys said it was gay.
PM_MEOttoVonBismarck@reddit
I remember when I was around the early teen age (2013-2016). Calling guys was something you only did if your friend didn't have a phone. If they did, then sending anything more then 2 texts before receiving a reply was considered gay.
Now texting culture is making the texts as little as possible
_TLDR_Swinton@reddit
You were texting a lot of gay guys tho
philouza_stein@reddit
But not about butt sex
koelan_vds@reddit
Fake and gay

heroin-salesman@reddit
Women simply go by whatever the consensus of the population is, they don't think "are my beliefs reasonable?" They think to themselves "will other people accept me for believing this?"
jonatna@reddit
Why would they think people perceive non internet users as weird?
Sea_Media9262@reddit
Because going against the current thing bad
dragunov3@reddit
I think online friends and such are still seen as weird, like if u met them on a game or such. But follower count, likes etc is def judged yea
Orphanboys@reddit
I love no one ever uses the original phrase. The office left a permanent mark on our linguistic patterns.
justmadethisacforeu4@reddit
That's just on the internet. The phrase has always been "how the tables have turned."
Orphanboys@reddit
In my age group and among friends i never hear them say the original phrase.
AcesterLOL@reddit
What’s the original phrase?
Orphanboys@reddit
I had to look it up because i literally never hear anymore. It’s “How the tables have turned”
StopPopAndRoll@reddit
Except no one said lmao in 2004. It was all about lol
