Does North Yorkshire have a lot of racists?

I've got zero axe to grind btw! I was just listening to a podcast from Citymetric (if you don't know it, it's an offshoot from the New Statesman) and they did an episode about Yorkshire, [God's own country](https://www.citymetric.com/skylines/podcast-god-s-own-country-4187) with two locals saying how great Yorkshire is. But one of the guys was doing a rundown of the whole region and (6 minutes in) he said North Yorkshire had a lot of racists, particularly Harrogate which had a lot of South Africans who emigrated because apartheid ended. (He also said it's full of posh bastards and tearooms.)
