I'd be pissed about losing my garage spot to an fbody as well. Aren't those valued at like $1500 in good condition?
Garaging the Pulsar, makes sense. Those are pretty uncommon.
Nutsack_Adams@reddit
Pulsar is ass. Purple T/A with t tops on the other hand is awesome
thejesterofdarkness@reddit (OP)
This TA, according to NADA, is valued at $11k
AngryScottish@reddit
I'm absolutely floored that fbodies are worth more than $5k, let alone $11k. That's crazy
e_hota@reddit
I remember back when no one wanted them, now they’re worth over $10K. Crazy world we live in!
Tremec14@reddit
What’s crazy is your blanket statement about how it’s basically impossible that any F-bodies are worth more than $5k.
The newest fourth gens are 22 years old now (sorry for making everyone feel old), the value of these have been on the upswing, especially in desirable color, transmission, etc. combos.
GTAdriver1988@reddit
They're gaining value. I have a 94 trans am like the one pictured and it's a long and funny story but in the end my family was actually paid to get it when you do the math and now I saw some for sale in the same condition as mine for $20k which is a ridiculous price if you ask me. Most are selling for $11k though and people are very interested in them. Whenever I drive mine people always compliment the car and talk about how they were the shit when they were kids so I think nostalgia has a lot to do with the pricing.
thejesterofdarkness@reddit (OP)
Kinda helps when it’s a ‘95 LT1 with only 107k miles.
AngryScottish@reddit
That's even more unbelievable!
They made millions of fbodies, so it would seem their pricing would be pretty cheap. Then add it isn't even a LS1 powered fbody.
I could be convinced it's worth $6k considering it's got the desirable LS1, but the LT1 ?
Good luck... Seems like the real project is trying to keep your SO happy after knocking her down the priority list.
thejesterofdarkness@reddit (OP)
She's happy. It was her idea to get the car from her BIL's mother. She could've not told me that it was for sale, but she knew how crushed I was when my Firebird was destroyed by a drunk driver in a stolen SUV. She said she was trying to make me happy-happy. I told her I was over the loss of the 'Bird & had gone back to my Pulsars but this deal was too good to pass up.
I didn't take her parking spot, she said she knew she lost it when she told me about the car. We have plans in the future to add a carport to the side of the house so one of those two can sit outside (probably the TA since the Pulsar has a bigger risk of rust and has bad weatherstrip around the doors)
Her and our kids are always my priority.
NoInternetPoint5@reddit
All V8 Coupes have been steadily climbing in value the last few years. In Canada at least, any running driving muscle car that isn't showing rust from 20' away is 10k+

Welcome to r/transam
I had a 94 TA GT hard top for almost 20 years. Miss it dearly!
bigfatfun@reddit
You have a Pulsar NX !?! I don’t even know anyone that remembers those. I thought those were the coolest thing in the world. I couldn’t understand why they weren’t more popular. Even if I did see one or two, they never had the hatchback bit like yours, I think the called it the ‘sports back’- which I thought was the coolest part. Awesome. Thanks for keeping that going.
Oh, have fun with the firebird too
thejesterofdarkness@reddit (OP)
….I’ve got 3 of them 🤣
MotherVoldemort@reddit
Pulsars and is that an Indiana plate? Are you ever in the indy area? I haven't seen a pulsar in a long time
thejesterofdarkness@reddit (OP)
I’m within an hour of Indy. I know there is one Pulsar in Indy, silver colored.
jimbotron5000@reddit
The plate to boot!
PrblyWbly@reddit
I’m more interested in the Pulsar in the back!!!!

That baby is clean!!!! I had a ‘95 T/A as well, and it was in great condition like yours when i bought it, but that was almost 20 years ago LMAO. Your car is ridiculously clean for it’s age and it has low mileage. I’m very jealous! I drove the wheels off mine, eventually to the point where the 4l60e started slipping really bad and needed a rebuild, so i went T-56 swap and used the “SPEC” clutch the seller included with all the swap parts. (He had a LT1 Camaro that he blew the engine in, so I got all the swap parts from him) but it turns out it was like a Chinese knock-off of a spec clutch, and it broke within a couple weeks of me doing the swap (alone, with no lift lol) and i was so burned out with the car at that point that i threw in the towel, and sold it to a guy who just wanted the engine/trans/PCM to swap into a classic Chevy pickup. So it’s still alive in some form, but the body was scrapped. I miss that car every day.
thejesterofdarkness@reddit (OP)
Under the hood is pretty clean too. Only needs some paint repair and a removing a dent in the rh qtr panel.

Bro. The 1st rule is that one garage spot is always reserved for the wife, no matter how big your project fleet grows. This lets you build that field of rotting cars without too much opposition. The moment the covered spot is taken away, the wife goes on the offensive.
thejesterofdarkness@reddit (OP)
Oh, the city here won’t let you have a field of cars.
I’m not even allowed to leave them in an “inoperable” condition unless it’s at a shop.
So if I want to tinker they HAVE to be in the garage.
illigal@reddit
You can fight the law and win. You can’t fight the wife and win.
thejesterofdarkness@reddit (OP)
As I said in another comment: she told me the car was for sale, she knew she’d lose her spot if i got it. She’s ok with it since she has remote start on her car now lol
thejesterofdarkness@reddit (OP)
And she told me to park it in there.
RojerLockless@reddit
Never even heard of a pulsar before lol
fuck_r-e-d-d-i-t@reddit
Love the ‘bird and the NX. Miss the squeaks, rumbles, and smells of my ‘91 L98 GTA everyday.
All you’re missing is a 90s Turbo 300ZX 🙃
thejesterofdarkness@reddit (OP)
🤔
HRman88@reddit
Cool color! Is it a 6 speed?
thejesterofdarkness@reddit (OP)
No, it’s an auto 😭
But that can be fixed…..
misterpickles69@reddit
Mistakes? There’s nothing but wins in this pic.

Parked next to a Pulsar NX. This dude fucks.
Marthellio@reddit
Haha he might not be fucking after this new purchase

P10pablo@reddit
Man. Love your Pulsar with the optional top; such an awesome car.
kcgreaser@reddit
Shes and odd duck. But, so was the grand national.
HotWalk152@reddit
I loved the grand national......
GTAdriver1988@reddit
Nice! I have a 94 and absolutely love that car. It still runs like new and for a 30 year old car it has given me barely any issues besides the common BS like the optispark and water pump and stuff that goes after 30 years like coolant hose and the intake manifold gasket. The LT1 isn't the best engine but it's still fun enough and with long tube headers and dual exhaust it sounds really nice.
everyoneisatitman@reddit
Best way to keep T tops from leaking is to park inside.
BeaverMartin@reddit
F-bodies are fun as hell! Definitely a worthwhile addition.
