I use the U.S Army 4 piece sleep system. Its an $800 system. I got it at a gun show for $100. Bivvy bag, patrol bag, cold weather bag and stuff sack. The reason I chose it is because we used this in the Army in Alaska in sub zero temperatures. I've used it quite a few times in various climates and woken up with sheets of ice on it but never been wet.

What a deal that would be an awesome find

I just saw it for $150 at MidwayUSA. Not sure why post is being down voted but you can literally buy them at gun shows too I guess. $150 ain't bad online.

USMC one is my favorite, very packable compared to the standard -40 ones.

I've been using a outdoor research for years, over 60 nights in it.I use a 1man tent ground cloth and keep a small dinning fly available. I've used it in rain quite often without the dinning fly with no issues but the hail storms were uncomfortable.

I’ve used the USGI bivy for years. It’s in woodland camo. Very tough and durable. But it is heavier and more bulky than other models.
I got them years ago for $35 from Amazon. Always enjoyed how affordable it was because I’ve always been rough on gear and didn’t want to end up melting or trashing a much expensive bivy.

Got a Snugpak SF Bivy and a British Army MTP goretex Bivy.
I prefer the later. It feels bomb proof ab roomy, no matter what.
So, when Ingot room to spare I choose the goretex over the Snugpak.
Anyhow: both work fine.

Ok thank you

I gave up on trying to get the whole bag waterproof. Now, I just use smaller waterproof bags inside a non-waterproof bag.

I’ve gathered but quality ranges and I don’t want to buy crap products. What’s your go to brand or manufacturer?
