Bro I legit nearly threw up when I read this. Jesus Christ you fumbled in the 4th quarter with 1 second left on the 1 with the entire defense on the sideline and the ball bounced so hard it hit you and carried you 100 yards backwards and when you landed, it gave the other team a safety
I coulda justified it if you were at least in middleschool but highschool? Brother, I'm sure you already know this but, that right there is a level of regarded that's SO regarded it's impressive and wraps back around to being genius. Like, did you think she meant her hypothetical gock?
Of course it wouldn't, tomboys prefer athletic and out-going boys. No one likes quiet, socially inept boys. Well, except other losers, but that is because apes strong together not real friendship.
That's mire a fictional trope than reality. Most jocks are normal, well adjusted beings and act more social than any other archetype. At least from experience at my former school.
Coming from a small town in Canada my football friends would ignore the existence of any tomboys. And as the loner EDM kid i slowly got to befriend tomboys although it was slow enough that it was after graduation that i actually got to know them
It always bothered me that Luke never got the heads' up about the force lightning. Like neither Yoda nor Obi-wan mention it. The first time I saw it I expected him to be like "Hey, time out, holup, no one told me there was gonna be lightning!"

Yeah it's hilarious how much these online communities overanalyze this stuff.

I was just saying Anon shouldn’t be going “grahh this isn’t realistic at all” when it’s a cinematic love story, which generally features scenarios that are very far from common
The far fetched aspects of these stories is what makes them interesting in the first place. Unlikely heroes, unlikely love stories, unlikely victories, etc.
They don’t write as many songs or poems about battles easily won.
The only person who was ”attracted” to me used to bully me to the point that I didn’t want to go to school… yeah she was not happy when she realised that I hate her.
Yep, I was quiet and somewhat depressed in college, this girl liked me but I didn’t realize it until a while after, I denied her advances though as I wasn’t interested. She ended up stalking me and messaging me way too much until I blocked her.
I don’t know. This sounds like my teen life. Didn’t know girl always wanting to sit next to me, giving me gifts and hugging me was a sign that she had interest.
It's realistic if the guy is a good looking athlete. The only unrealistic part is "quiet loner boy".
My bodybuilder friend mentioned he like brunettes and a girl in a group who liked him dyed her hair based on secondhand knowledge of that statement. There are definitely dudes women will change for. Usually douchebags though.

The movie came out in 2007 and the book it's based on was in 1977. Statute of limitations on spoilers has long expired, if you haven't seen it yet that's a skill issue.
You telling me youve seen every great movie since - what, when? 2010? 2020? - and anybody who hasnt has a skill issue? I was scrolling through these comments cause i never heard of the movie and tried to find its name, and i bet im not the only one. Second comment after that is, not a minor, but a major spoiler. There will always be people who never heard of or seen a movie, no matter how great it was. And the older the movie gets, the more people there are that hadnt seen it and less likely the chance to have heard of it. But yeah, i can see how you would call this my skill issue.
I watched this movie as an adult and was gobsmacked when she died. I did not expect them to go there and hurt. I was waiting for the moment she'd return because of some sort of magic. But yeah... I love the movie and will never forget it.
That movie was very sad. It's weird to think while I was dealing with the crushing fear of having someone I trust suddenly be taken from my life returning to a status quo of never being understood people jack off to a 14 year old. Damn
She got an absolutely earth-shatteringly insane dumptruck later, and I mean genuinely like the most gorgeous rear on earth (pending Myoui Mina's bikini debut)
She was my first major celeb crush on that movie (I was 13 at the time and was just realizing girls weren't evil) and kept watching her movies as we both grew up (she's literally just a few months older than me).
If you're gonna broadcast your unabashed sexual fantasy to the world at least have it be about being a chad who gets the girls and not a loser who gets a girl handed to him by the plot
It’s not about standards. If every time you see a picture of a woman you feel the need to tell everyone whether or not you find her attractive (especially if you’re calling her unattractive), you come off like an incel.
You think women are better? Do they get called "femcel" because they feel the need to rate guys who never asked their opinion? They are fucking vicious, and way more picky than men. They will trash a nearly perfect man over one tiny flaw. If men were unforgiving of women's flaws, humans would have gone extinct millennia ago.
There’s a very big difference between judging someone’s appearance and publicly insulting their appearance. You absolutely see more men making comments about women in this manner online.
Naw, women will publicly insult men's appearance. You may see more men doing this online than you see women doing it, but that's your own bias speaking. You just don't care when men are trashed online, but you are hypersensitive to any indication of patriarchy.
It does, except you also know she's interested but push her away harshly because you have your own issues and relationships are a lot of effort and a little scary in school and then nothing like that happens since.
This literally happened to me. I was a skater tomboy and spent every single moment with my friend who I thought was my soul mate. We hung out and I supported him with everything he did. We were super happy together as friends even tho I would have preferred more. But I guess I wasn't attractive enough or something for him at the time. He ended up becoming too busy for me because he rather focus on a whore who he moved for even tho she abused and mentally scared him. She ended up cheating on him and his life kinda fell apart even more. I cut ties with him basically when he moved because I was pissed he left and would prefer a shitty life rather than being friends. He came back once to hang out but I wasn't interested. I haven't seen him for like 13 years. He gave up something good for a shit reality. Shit like this happens. Men are fucking dumb.
The Japanese used to write shinto myths about that sorta thing, back in the day there woulda been a shrine on the strike spot and everything. Now we just get book in the 70s and a movie some 40 odd years later, truly the west has fvllen😔
You guys know the screenwriter for the movie is the boy in this movie right? The book is written by his mom 💀 it's a true story lol
Josh hutchersoms mom wrote the book?
No, what the OP wrote was confusing so I'll explain it better: Katherine Paterson wrote the book Bridge to Terabithia based on the experience of her son David Paterson. David then wrote the screenplay for the 2007 film adaptation of the book.
It's happened to me a few times. Except not really tomboy, just kind of less attractive /conventionally feminine girl. Also I wasn't oblivious, just not attracted.
I had many chances at young love. But I was too busy looking for a “good Christian girl who saves herself for marriage”. I was judging people by how sinful they were, not stopping to just let myself enjoy life with them. One girl I curbed was even devoutly Christian, I just didn’t know it at the time
I denied myself young love for a lifestyle I don’t even follow anymore
The tomboy part is a little unrealistic but a lot of men (myself included) had oneitis and our tunnel vision made us look past other romantic prospects that we regret now that we’re older.
This was literally my elementary school experience - except there wasn’t another girl I was just slow… by fifth grade tomboy was wearing dresses and I was completely oblivious. She kicked me in the throat after school one day and I never saw her again. I think about her every day.
Is this a description of a real film or something?
That's just an ordinary teenage experience. X likes Y likes Z. The provlem is teenagers don't look like 25 year old actors, they look like gross unkempt spotty awkward children.
That's why this doesn't happen IRL. You're imagining some lovely Hollywood actor being a 'tomboy', when in reality it's a 350-lb tomboy that reeks of BO and makes period jokes like she's the next Amy Achuner.
We read this book in elementary school and the teacher had us read from 120-178 (not sure actual pages) and so I read up to 178 but didn’t read 178 cause something in my regard brain told me that’s how it works despite being the very last page of the chapter. Anyways, that was the page you found out she died and I had no idea wtf was going on in the discussion thing.
I had an unhealthy love for Annasophia Robb (the girl in the Pic from this movie) as a kid. She was cute, and then i realized I just wanted to be her.../trans

In high school, I would hang out with a girl from my academy for a couple of days each week and help her with homework while her dad worked late.
One night, she told me that she was curious about what dick tasted like and asked if I would help her.
My gut reaction was to say, "That's gay to think about tasting dick and I'm not gay so there was no way I would even think about that."

Doesn't she die in a sad way?
bitchasscuntface@reddit
Spoiler wtf.
SeamusMcCullagh@reddit
The movie came out in 2007 and the book it's based on was in 1977. Statute of limitations on spoilers has long expired, if you haven't seen it yet that's a skill issue.
bitchasscuntface@reddit
You telling me youve seen every great movie since - what, when? 2010? 2020? - and anybody who hasnt has a skill issue? I was scrolling through these comments cause i never heard of the movie and tried to find its name, and i bet im not the only one. Second comment after that is, not a minor, but a major spoiler. There will always be people who never heard of or seen a movie, no matter how great it was. And the older the movie gets, the more people there are that hadnt seen it and less likely the chance to have heard of it. But yeah, i can see how you would call this my skill issue.
SeamusMcCullagh@reddit
Hey man, I've never seen it either. I'm pretty sure this event happens in the first like, 30 minutes of the movie.
Sengfroid@reddit
But anon, it's 1976..

I watched this movie as an adult and was gobsmacked when she died. I did not expect them to go there and hurt. I was waiting for the moment she'd return because of some sort of magic. But yeah... I love the movie and will never forget it.
The_Third_Molar@reddit
It really emulates the feeling of sudden, tragic loss. No other movie has hit me that hard.
storysprite@reddit
Exactly. No other film ever captured this for me. And it hits harder since it was this really kind, bright and optimistic kid.

johnnadaworeglasses@reddit
Low standard white knight. Next.
gereffi@reddit
It’s not about standards. If every time you see a picture of a woman you feel the need to tell everyone whether or not you find her attractive (especially if you’re calling her unattractive), you come off like an incel.
Mobile_Molasses_9876@reddit
You think women are better? Do they get called "femcel" because they feel the need to rate guys who never asked their opinion? They are fucking vicious, and way more picky than men. They will trash a nearly perfect man over one tiny flaw. If men were unforgiving of women's flaws, humans would have gone extinct millennia ago.
gereffi@reddit
There’s a very big difference between judging someone’s appearance and publicly insulting their appearance. You absolutely see more men making comments about women in this manner online.
Mobile_Molasses_9876@reddit
Naw, women will publicly insult men's appearance. You may see more men doing this online than you see women doing it, but that's your own bias speaking. You just don't care when men are trashed online, but you are hypersensitive to any indication of patriarchy.
gereffi@reddit
Sounds like you’re aware of why you might have your bias but you’re just projecting instead of acknowledging reality.

BIGFAAT@reddit
My first gf was a tomboy and 2 decades later I still miss her.
L2Hiku@reddit

No, what the OP wrote was confusing so I'll explain it better: Katherine Paterson wrote the book Bridge to Terabithia based on the experience of her son David Paterson. David then wrote the screenplay for the 2007 film adaptation of the book.

the-poopiest-diaper@reddit
I had many chances at young love. But I was too busy looking for a “good Christian girl who saves herself for marriage”. I was judging people by how sinful they were, not stopping to just let myself enjoy life with them. One girl I curbed was even devoutly Christian, I just didn’t know it at the time
I denied myself young love for a lifestyle I don’t even follow anymore
PrivilegeCheckmate@reddit

The tomboy part is a little unrealistic but a lot of men (myself included) had oneitis and our tunnel vision made us look past other romantic prospects that we regret now that we’re older.

Dd_8630@reddit
Is this a description of a real film or something?
That's just an ordinary teenage experience. X likes Y likes Z. The provlem is teenagers don't look like 25 year old actors, they look like gross unkempt spotty awkward children.
That's why this doesn't happen IRL. You're imagining some lovely Hollywood actor being a 'tomboy', when in reality it's a 350-lb tomboy that reeks of BO and makes period jokes like she's the next Amy Achuner.
Appropriate_Pop4968@reddit
We read this book in elementary school and the teacher had us read from 120-178 (not sure actual pages) and so I read up to 178 but didn’t read 178 cause something in my regard brain told me that’s how it works despite being the very last page of the chapter. Anyways, that was the page you found out she died and I had no idea wtf was going on in the discussion thing.
