Funny how free speech warriors and Aloha practitioners are shadow-banning the post.

Anyone that is serious about politics and doesn't see that the right wing is massively breached by Russia is either naive or stupid. Tulsi is a pawn and played by those that seek to destroy the United States of America. The same forces are at play in Europe as well.

Such fucking nonsense. AIPAC spent over $100 million this election and has damn near 100% success rate of helping to elect their preferred candidates. They're also curiously except from being required to register under FARA & nearly everyone in Congress has an "AIPAC person."
Enough with the fear mongering distractions - it's time to get real.
bigmt99@reddit
Believe it or not, two things can be bad at the same time!
teecuedee@reddit
It's so fake to "both sides" this. I'm so not persuaded hearing about the grave threat of Russian influence in our country and election interference... when waaaaay, way worse is being done by others all the time & also being obfuscated with metaphorical shiny objects such as this news story.
Beyond not persuaded, it begs incredulity - not that the charges aren't real but that they're worried about foreign interference. 10 million is peanuts. AIPAC's publicly disclosed donations to Congress members (again, exempt from FARA) is just the tip of the iceberg.
bigmt99@reddit
Maybe this would be peanuts if this was a singular instance of Russian trying to throw influence on American elections. But this is just one more instance on the laundry list of incidents
teecuedee@reddit
Oh it's not peanuts? AIPAC openly brags about their candidates winning 300+ district elections this year, across the country
bigmt99@reddit
Again, your brain is capable of holding two thoughts at once.
Israel using their money to impact our elections is bad and we should do things to prevent this.
Russia using their money to impact our elections is also bad and we should do things to prevent this, even if their impact is not quite as large as Israel’s in your eyes
teecuedee@reddit
So you about there's no equivalent for Russia, is there?
bigmt99@reddit
No, if you put a gun to my head I’d say that without outsized Russian influence campaigns, Trump loses in 2016.
Whether or not that’s “equivalent” to helping 300 congressman (many of who probably would’ve won without AIPIC money) i don’t know
WotTheHellDamnGuy@reddit (OP)
FYI, it's not a contest and there are no prizes for most hyperbolic.
teecuedee@reddit
Which part is being hyperbolic? It's true that AIPAC has literally spent over $100 million in our election this year & it's true they literally have nearly 100% success rate with their candidates. If the Russians had an influence operation worth fear mongering about, would it look something like bragging about winning in 300+ districts?

Russia spreads influence by exporting their propaganda through media channels. By funding individuals that spread information that falls in line with the Kremlin to bot-farms that influence the public by portraying public opinion in a false way. This is all well documented and many instances even proven. This propaganda not only poisons the minds of the public, but also the minds of politicians.
This is not fear mongering. It's staying real and vigilant.
teecuedee@reddit
When was the last time Russia's leader gave a speech to Congress and got standing ovations? Now do Israel.
It's a totally dotally different realm of influence, and you're not being real if you deny this.
MikeyPWhatAG@reddit
What if, and I know this is crazy talk to you... Two things can both be bad at once. Of course Israel has undue and problematic influence that has pulled us into supporting them blindly and in an extreme way but that doesn't mean Russia literally trying to destabilize our society isn't a massive issue. Being anti-war means being against both Israel and Russia right now, period.
teecuedee@reddit
Russian influence pales in comparison to Israeli, and frankly Ukranian influence. I don't care much for you trying to use weasel "both sides" tactic arguments me, after responding to this article (which has nothing to do with Tulsi by the way) by trying to spread more cold-war era, anti-Russian propoganda, as if they're actually the big secret threat trying to control our government.
As I pointed out already, AIPAC (very publicly and proudly) boasts nearly 100% success rate of getting their people elected. There's nothing comparable coming from Russia
Others are getting away with far worse than Russia is being accused of here - buying media influence? Russia doesn't own any of the legacy media in the US.
MikeyPWhatAG@reddit
Russian bot
Arapaho888@reddit
This is propaganda spread by the Democrats. Anyone they see as a threat is deemed to be working with the Russians. Tulsi is exhibit A.
AQMessiah@reddit
I can promise you that Russia is involved in influencing both sides in the U.S. To make this only about the right, is the same narrative they were spreading 4 and 8 years ago.

Wonder how much Tusli got?
