No but they are cute!

I follow a fashion advice sub and thought I was there at first, I didn't realize this was a nostalgia post haha
But yeah I would totally rock these for work. I used to wear my vintage Doc Marten boots under dress pants sometimes in the office

Depends on how casual business casual is for the place you work. At my old job we could wear jeans daily, so yes these would go with that. I now work at home fully and never wear shoes. lol. However, I’d wear these out and about!

Umm, not in my day. They were just a step below shit kickers. Most of us could convince our mothers to buy them for us(or the many, many knockoffs) because they exuded just enough actual mary janes vibe.

How much was a soda in your day, you know the one at school that had ...Pepsi, MTN dew, Pepsi and MTN dew.
Mine was 50 cents.

Same.

With the right outfit they’ll work

Yep, context is everything

I used to work in an IBM department where nobody cared about the dress code >.<
People would come in as goths and metal heads and what not!
Except on casual fridays. When everyone would style up in their finest!

What are those!?!?!
BatFancy321go@reddit
only if you were that goth girl on ncis. they're for teenagers, they're juvenile.

Depending on the company, house shoes can pass for business casual these days.

This movie popped in my head soon as as I seen the picture

Doctor Janes? Too quirky back then. Anything goes nowadays though.
BeBopBarr@reddit
Absolutely, with the right outfit, you could definitely dress those up....But this is coming from a person who is all about comfort these days.
Also to the folks saying no...what exactly is your idea of business casual?! (Genuine question)
sum-9@reddit
No. They would be considered remedial.
fionacielo@reddit
yes if polished
Tough_Preference1741@reddit
I would think so. Especially with the wide leg pants back in.
Imnotonthelist@reddit
I love these! It depends on the outfit- you can wear sneakers with a suit and look great.
