Aye but I’m not

There's gotta be an IOS alternative
Schaden_Fraude@reddit
Lifting gloves thing is real, if your little paws hurt that means you arent ready just yet, disagree on that split though, used to do that rputine but bro splits actually helped me put on more size, takes a lot of fucking effort to exhaust your back muscles, you need a full workout for them, this is one of those muscle groups you will rarely feel sore afterwards
PotatoFromFrige@reddit
Can you explain the lifting gloves thing?
Schaden_Fraude@reddit
Yep, you wont always wear gloves during day to day, if you have gloves on all the time you dont build up your calluses properly, they act as a layer of protection that stays on all the time, say one day you wanna help someone lift a heavy object you can end up with a skin tear because your hands never got used to it, those can lead to infections which arent fun
broniesnstuff@reddit
I'm sorry, I don't want a man with calloused hands touching my dick every day. Gotta keep them paws baby soft for optimal friction.
The occasional skin tear is a price I'm willing to pay.
oopoctothorpe@reddit
Sometimes when I pull on it, it rips the skin (on my hands) because it is so hard...
Schaden_Fraude@reddit
Man likes his twinks pristine, fair enough
SkradTheInhaler@reddit
I'm not gonna disagree with anything you just said. All I'm saying is that I'd think twice before taking advice from u/broniesnstuff
broniesnstuff@reddit
Clearly I know a thing or two about masturbation
D15c0untMD@reddit
Yes, but on horses
Lacholaweda@reddit
In taekwondo we would go outside and slap rocks and trees for 20 mins or so a day
Schaden_Fraude@reddit
We do the same shit for muay thai, we have a heavier bag thats not soft at all and we just stay after class and kick that shit until you cant feel your shins, judo mfers too, if you know anyone who does a lot of judo their hands are gnarly as fuck
meechmeechmeecho@reddit
I think lifting gloves are situational. You wouldn’t need use them in every exercise, but they can be nice when grip is the bottleneck on a lift. The ones with wrist straps can also be nice on certain exercises if you have wrist issues.
Tack22@reddit
You have wrist issues because you’ve failed the natty
Heil_Heimskr@reddit
Straps aren’t the same as gloves though. Straps help with grip on exercises like deadlift, and are basically necessary if you’re moving a lot of weight. Gloves don’t do shit except protect you from calluses, which is dumb. They don’t help your grip strength.
DexterBrooks@reddit
You will if you're doing things like construction, mechanics, woodworking, furniture moving, and many other things while actually caring about your hands.
I do all of that, I wear gloves for all of it. I've had calluses build up, you know what causes the most skin tearing mess you've ever seen? Having a callus tear off.
Having soft non callused hands while being able to lift things as heavy or textured as I want is fantastic and I recommend lifting gloves, work gloves, mechanics gloves, etc, to everyone just like other forms of PPE like safety glasses and earplugs/earmuffs.
kerodon@reddit
You sold me on wearing gloves thanks 🙏
DexterBrooks@reddit
Specifically for lifting also look into straps, weight belt, and lifting shoes.
Belt and shoes are to avoid back issues and to let you squat deep and with proper form.
Straps mean you can work your other muscles without being limited by grip which will eventually happen when you get strong enough.
Pyrimo@reddit
Somebody who gets it. There’s a reason PPE exists, not just for work either. Going to a show? Wear earplugs. Lifting something heavy where grip is sketchy? Gloves or at least straps. Etc etc.
I’d rather look like a “pussy” than have parts of my body be double my age in deterioration. Besides, only a raging ** cares about what others think they look like.
DexterBrooks@reddit
Exactly. I work with many old guys, tons of people I know who have done damage because they didn't wear PPE for years.
Even guys only 10 years older than me who didn't wear it, knee problems, hand problems, shoulders, etc.
I lift heavy thing and do physical work, but I'm going to minimize the long term damage to my body as much as possible. Some people will make a comment every once in a while "oh do you really need earmuffs just for an impact?" Yeah m8 I do.
Pyrimo@reddit
I know 2 lads with tinnitus cus they just took a “she’ll be right” attitude to safety on site. Both have trouble getting to sleep without noise in the background…
DexterBrooks@reddit
Yep. Multiple people in my family have tinnitus, some caused by medication, some by dental machines, others from heavy equipment.
My friend has it and doesn't even know why. He had a heart issue and it just magically appeared after that. Maybe from wearing headphones too loud for 20 years or something else idk.
Then I have more family members that just have normal hearing loss, you have to talk louder and lower for them to even hear you. At least they don't have the ringing, but even if you just get normal loss to their degree it would still suck. Can't make our whispers anymore, have to listen to things louder so you increase the damage you're taking from everything else. Just terrible.
Pyrimo@reddit
No good way to be honestly. Seeing others make those mistakes always makes me conscious to at least half try to look after myself
Hailreaper1@reddit
This is the most bro science bullshit post I think I’ve ever read. Cheers.
urs_blank@reddit
What kind of "you're going to eat shit later so you might as well start now" logic is this? It's really not that difficult to come prepared with gloves when I help somebody move or whatever. Calluses can just as easily form a risk for injuries due to persistently dry skin that is hard to properly take care of.
D15c0untMD@reddit
I felt like not only would i not build calluses, but also that the little bit of wiggle made it difficult to do clean heavy lifts. Maybe i had bad gloves. But i lost them somewhere, lifted without, and liked it better
CommanderReg@reddit
Artificially enhances your grip strength which actually prevents you from naturally building a stronger grip during a lot of lifts
Prevents callouses from forming meaning your hands will remain soft (could be a preferred outcome)
If you're a casual gymgoer and want to keep your hands safe and smooth, that's what they're for. If you take lifting weights seriously at all then they're counterproductive and a bad idea. Most people use straps for the heaviest deadlifts to compensate for grip (usually fails at heavy max weights), which are superior in that regard.
SkradTheInhaler@reddit
Gloves don't even enhance your grip strength. If anything, they decrease it. Gloves create another layer on the bar, effectively increasing its diameter. A thicker bar is harder to grip. They can maybe add friction, but this is more effectively achieved with chalk.
CommanderReg@reddit
I agree, they don't enhance your strength but they do improve your grip as in the bar won't slip or slide as easily with less pressure required. Also agree on chalk being more effective.
LocalFBI@reddit
Love chalk over straps myself, feels so much more free/natural
Phish1220@reddit
Nah, straps all the way bro. My back will never not be stronger than my forearm grip strength, so why not eliminate that limiting factor with straps.
CommanderReg@reddit
That's what I said
RigelVictoria@reddit
Ronnie Coleman used gloves lmao, get lost loser
HoidTheWorldhopper@reddit
Are you deadlifting 400kg?
Nervous-Hair-2107@reddit
lifting gloves thing is not real. keep them hands soft and nice looking
Cat_Of_Culture@reddit
Nah Bro Splits are suboptimal, hitting muscle twice a week is genuinely better
GaBoX172@reddit
my hands sweat. how am i supposed to lift anything if everything slips?
Yhanoh@reddit
Hey I wear lifting gloves to cover my hands after being torn to shit from bouldering. Won't take slander from meat heads whose ONLY physical activity is picking thing up and putting it down
JunkqueenOT@reddit
I’m sorry, but if you use gloves for climbing we call those bitch mittens for a reason.
This is kind of like “tell me your a software engineer without saying it”
Yhanoh@reddit
Dawg, gloves in the gym not on the walls
Heil_Heimskr@reddit
Bro split will work just like almost anything if you try hard enough, but it’s objectively inferior to other splits. Doesn’t mean it won’t work, but it won’t work as well.

Horse girls are crazy.
AutisticHormoneDwarf@reddit
Do you have a horse girl body count, or are you teaching me about women from memes?
ErnestGoesToHeck@reddit
It's the latter. My horse girl body count is 1, and it didn't work bc she had a real bad coke problem.
maninahat@reddit
Did she have any cheap hobbies?
ErnestGoesToHeck@reddit
Smoking weed, candy, TV.
htmlcoderexe@reddit
How bad was it? How many TVs would she smoke in a week?
Facesit_Freak@reddit
None of those are cheap
ErnestGoesToHeck@reddit
I mean, compared to horses and cocaine it's not too expensive
D15c0untMD@reddit
I bet she also owned a boat.
Worst-Panda@reddit
Mine is 1 also. I’m just smart enough to learn from the experience but not smart enough to never get involved in the first place.
haxprocess@reddit
2 horse girls. Weird and crazy. Wouldnt be surprised if they jack off their horses now
NonAwesomeDude@reddit
Count is 1 but was crazy.
Probably undiagnosed BPD, definitely extremely low self-esteem.
Was obsessed with any casual interaction I had with any other girl (she was a college freshman who poached me, a high school junior, just before she went to school). Claimed it wasn't because I might cheat but because, "I don't like the idea of another girl thinking she has a shot," because, "I don't want them to think they have something over me". Wanted daily reports on which women I talked to and the content of the conversations. I just stopped interacting with people all together because it was easier.
Broke up with me 3 times and only the last one stuck. She'd always come back begging to get back together, and my dumb otherwise-a-vigin ass would always take her back.
Played games of saying, "I don't wanna be the girlfriend who doesn't let you go to stuff" when she meant, "don't go to that stuff or I'm gonna throw a fit".
Lost half my high school experience, basically.
So yea, stay far away from horse girls and don't date a girl that's leaving for college if you're in high school and if you're not gonna break up with her before she leaves.
canadianholler@reddit
Christian girls too
AmbidextrousDyslexic@reddit
ive dated 2. never again. one was crazy, the other was kind of a bitch. had a cool dad tho.
2 buddies of mine had horse girl girlfriends. one cheated on him and then dumped him, the other cheated on him and he dumped her, and then she went on to lie to all her friends and his friends and family to accuse the super introverted dude of cheating on her and hitting her. like yeah girl, your long distance boyfriend totally hits you. thats why you waited 2 months since his last visit to say anything.
fucking never trust horse girls. they will ruin your life. its slightly different if its a girl that actually owns horses. then you have a farm girl and they are alright.
shroomigator@reddit
Can confirm. Horse girl body count is 2. Both batshit crazy.
Automatic_Llama@reddit
Hmm...I'm not convinced
Billman23@reddit

Bro they have nothing on ferret girls. Great sex though. As long as the ferrets don't chew on the condom before.

MarinLlwyd@reddit

Source: I dated two different horse girls, both were in fact crazy. Sex was good though.
D15c0untMD@reddit
Your most immediate and basic needs will always come second to the most superficial comfort for the horse.
KharamSylaum@reddit
You must not know any horse girls. They're fucking weird and they don't even realize it, completely oblivious to the fact that no one gives a fuck about horses and the fact that they're overly obsessed with horses

Absolutely unhinged human beings, great and frequent sex. It’s a recipe for disaster because when you’re sane you’ll know you want to get away from them but the moment you’re horny they’re like heroin.
samfishxxx@reddit
Now by "horse girls", are we talking like a Sara Jessica Parker, or those rich psycho chicks who grew up riding horses, or... Catherine the Great?
crimsonfukr457@reddit
The second.
Qverlord37@reddit
Because you're not just courting the girl, you're courting the horse as well. Horses are horrendously high maintenance, and horse girl are as obsessed with maintaining their horse. It's 80% maintenance and 20% riding.

Well nothing stops you from saying "no I don't want to/can't pay for your horse"

blippie@reddit
Did she try to follow you home, on horse back ?
Kale1l@reddit
I made it known that after sitting there the whole time while she steam rolled over any attempt at having a back and forth conversation I was done. Then she became my shadow until I had to tell her I'm going home- you go over there that way. Do. Not. Follow. Me.
Weird.

The join a coed thing is real but keep your expectations tame (low). The median age in the US is 38.5 so chances are the majority will be older than you. Still go there though.
mister_hoot@reddit
The ultimate feel good moment is when you befriend a person older than you and they try to hook you up with a kid/niece/nephew around your age. 90% of the time they’re introducing you to a hopeless moron but the fact that they want to pull you into their bloodline is the world’s most ringing endorsement.

What the hell is a Horse Girl?
swolemexibeef@reddit
girls that usually have a horse as a pet, mostly rancher/famers families that have the means to take care of a horse, but also girls that come from a well-off family that has the time/money for them to become equestrians.
UDAFX_MK_85@reddit
Ok, then how is it a terrible idea to be with one?
swolemexibeef@reddit
it becomes their whole personality, think of gymbro personality but crank it up by 20. Their whole lives revolves around the horse and horse activities (rodeos, barrel racing, etc). with the girls that come from well-off families, they tend to develop "brat" mentalities because since they have access to time/money to support an expensive animal, they aren't really told "no" so they think they can get away with anything. The extreme cases (for both) also tend to develop destructive habits (drug/alcohol abuse most famously). Granted, you may think, "well this can happen to anyone with anything given such conditions" and you may be right, but the horses is what makes these situations memorable/memeable.
UDAFX_MK_85@reddit
Alright then, I better watch out for those Horse Girls, thanks

And those, that are not rich are always broke because every penny they own goes to the horse and its many sicknesses and stuff.
cicciograna@reddit
It's an Internet meme, which actually is not really a meme as it's pretty grounded in reality, that suggests that horse girls are a bit off their rocker, to put it nicely, but not in the "wild crazy fun" way. More in the "my whole personality revolves around my quadruped of choice in a very unhealthy way, think of me as an overly attached manic girlfriend whom however dedicates all her attentions and cares to an animal" way.
If you want more info, look online for "horse girl meme".
