What is your go to restaurant that you are always in the mood for?

I can always go to L&L Hawaiian Bbq, The Original Chicken & Rice or China One and never get tired of it. What places do you guys love eating at that never gets old?
MavenVoyager@reddit
There used to be a place in midtown- Lark on the Park...they closed down (before Covid), now it's Lucia.
FunPomegranate8541@reddit
Uchi!!! I love that place.
4ofheartz@reddit
Bubbas chicken by SMU! The rolls are sooo good. Always drive-thru & a car picnic!
Phosizzle1@reddit (OP)
I love fried chicken, will give it a try
Historical-Cicada939@reddit
Then try Mikes chicken on maple
4ofheartz@reddit
The fried chicken tenders w green beans & mashed potatoes w gravy. If I eat inside i get chicken breast & drumstick with same sides. It’s ALL good!
IAmSoUncomfortable@reddit
Man now I wish I had gotten bubbas for lunch
And for being in the park cities their prices are so reasonable!
AppropriateAd3055@reddit
Bangcock city on Bryan.

Really love their Beef Panang.

BANG COCK CITY
Mercy_Rule_34@reddit
DaLat, that Deconstructed Rachel with side of coconut curry shooters is my comfort food. Zalat is pretty dope too, but scratches a different itch
Phosizzle1@reddit (OP)
This place looks really good, thanks for the recommendation
lilbbydumplin@reddit
I’m here to second DaLat🙏
AeroWrench@reddit
The Khanwich is so damn good I boycotted them when they got rid of it. But since they brought it back I can't bring myself to order anything else on the menu.

Jimmy’s; anytime they’re open, I’m ready for it.
ChunkyChangon@reddit
Jimmy’s is so overrated. Not worth it
Pheo340@reddit
100% agree with you. It's fine, but not worth the hype it gets here in this subreddit.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Haven’t heard of it, but a lot of people seem to like it. Ima give it a try

Fadi's
antarcticgecko@reddit
I was just wondering if they survived the pandemic. They still have that awesome veggie buffet? Stuffed grape leaves need to happen for me soon
Quiver-NULL@reddit
Yes. Yes. Yes. I believe they still have 2 locations in the DFW area.
ImNotGoodatFunny@reddit
The second location was/is in Richardson, and I believe the sons took it over and changed the name to Andalous. The food is exactly the same as Fadi’s (and completely amazing) though it is serve yourself buffet style. Huge banquet rooms too.
Quiver-NULL@reddit
Too funny, I've had Andalous as well (delivery) and it was amazing!

satansgreataunt@reddit
I could eat at Lockhart BBQ in Bishop Arts or Eno’s every day. Paradiso also has a legit menu and an amazing vibe.
Honest_Potential8710@reddit
Not a restaurant but my favorite “fast food” has been Salata. Their large salads are enough for a meal and a half.
LateAd3737@reddit
L&L Hawaiian BBQ was the last thing I expected to see when I clicked lmao that’s crazy. Is it the same as the ones in Hawaii? It was passable when I lived there because the standards for food were a lot lower. But now that I’m in Dallas? A million places I’d choose first
But hey, to each their own, no disrespect

dionisfake@reddit
Ive never heard of lost of these places so I’m excited to try out some new ones- unfortunately my very creative answer is Chilis or Uncle Julio’s. I grew up on Chilis so I’m down all day any day but I tried Uncle Julio’s earlier this year and it’s AMAZING
Phosizzle1@reddit (OP)
Same there are a lot of suggestions that sound good. Mike’s Chicken has been name a lot so that’s on the top of my list

There’s also a Frankie’s on Ballard St in Wylie, great patio area to eat and the food is awesome
foppishmanabouttown@reddit
Ballard St Cafe is pretty good too!
graymattar@reddit
FYI - The Frankie’s in Richardson isn’t owned by the same person that owns the one in Sachse. Not sure how the food has held up. Ownership change happened a couple of years ago.
hardleft121@reddit
it's still good imho
Omnibuschris@reddit
It is still owned by Frankie and Augustin Jimenez. They started with Amigos in Richardson with their brother in law. There was a break up. Casa Mama is the brother in laws restaurants and Frankie and Augustin have 5 locations with various names. It’s all the same food at all of them.
Daisyyui@reddit
If you were deployed to Iraq and fell in love with the local food like I did, then you’ve got to check out Albaghdady restaurant in Richardson. It’s absolutely amazing.
AeroWrench@reddit
Don't sleep on Gilgamesh either. Shish tawook and shawarma plates just like the IA used to feed us at our joint COPs. Been meaning to try Bilad too as I've heard nothing but great things.
Daisyyui@reddit
Never heard of Gilgamesh. Ima give it a try. Thanks
sleuthycuban@reddit
Since you like Hawaiian food, have you tried Mo Bettahs yet?
Phosizzle1@reddit (OP)
Not yet but, but now you have my curiosity
sleuthycuban@reddit
Imo it’s not as good as L&L but a little better than Hawaiian Bros
Dropping-Truth-Bombs@reddit
Mo Berthas is way better than Hawaiian Bros.
sleuthycuban@reddit
The only reason I say “a little” is because I think I like the macaroni salad a little more at Hawaiian bros. Everything else is mo bettah at Mo bettahs. Not saying Mo bettahs Mac salad isn’t good though.
NiceSpectacles@reddit
I’m curious if anyone else here likes Hawaiian Bros macaroni salad because I’ve always had clients/friends who prefers L&L
sleuthycuban@reddit
Oh L&L is the best. I was just comparing the other two
Road_Journey@reddit
I don't know about way better but it's for sure Mo'bettah.
