What are some good social media alternatives to reddit that have decent traffic?

A lot of people have mentioned lemmy but it seems like 4chan and X have more comparable or equivalent traffic levels to reddit. If you know of any others let me know.
HTTP_404_NotFound@reddit
4chan is comparable to cancer.
Twitter is just a horrible format and isn't a very useful format for reading
anime_meme@reddit
As if reddit isnt just as cancerous
UnflinchingSugartits@reddit
Agree on the format thing
mrjosh199@reddit
i just got band from the ben 10 reddit any ideas for a sub?
IAmDeadYetILive@reddit
Lemmy if you want something similar to reddit. 4chan and twitter if you want right wing bigotry and hate.
Expensive-Ad-3111@reddit
What about the left wing delusion? Keep it interesting! Lol sheep
firebreathingbunny@reddit
X, 4chan, and maybe 8kun are the only free-speech platforms work significant traffic. Cultural Marxists have made it very difficult to run a free-sperch platform. They attack in all sorts of legal, extralegal, and illegal ways.
ashevonic@reddit
>X is free-speech even doe its owner is a whiny little bitchbaby who bans anything he remotely dislikes
lol copepost

I've been looking for years, and found nothing useful. There's a few rich guys claiming they're launching some new social media sites that might do the trick, but those 'launches' have been going on for years now, to no discernible effect.
It's very disappointing.
UnflinchingSugartits@reddit
Do you know the names of them?
captainthor@reddit
Well, there's this list:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_social_platforms_with_at_least_100_million_active_users
But evidently the sites I was talking about are still too small to be listed in that page. And I haven't been noting them as i ran across them in the news; so I can't recall their names, sorry. But I do know I checked out some of them when I saw them mentioned, and they just seemed useless.

Ty so much

There used to be yahoo answers but then yahoo shut it down. It was sort of like reddit

Loved it back in the day it was my jam

Quora

I agree. It’s just a tad bit smaller than Reddit, but there’s a lot of good content over there. Stack overflow is good too.
Delicious_Ease2595@reddit
Comparable in traffic as Reddit is Telegram, even X users find Telegram too much free speech.
Frosty-Tip5756@reddit
apparently the telegram CEO just got arrested, I imagine its going to be gutted and madepretty terrible.
ive never used it but once the feds control something it always gets worse fast.
Delicious_Ease2595@reddit
Not sure France or West countries will take control or jurisdiction. It seems Telegram had a backup plan with his brother.
Frosty-Tip5756@reddit
ah good. never used it but from reading about it today I respect it.
gamerlover58@reddit (OP)
scammers are everywhere in telegram. Whatsapp is bad as well but from my experience no decent or legit person is on telegram
Delicious_Ease2595@reddit
That's like your opinion lol, 950 million users on Telegram.
gamerlover58@reddit (OP)
Well I am be glad to be proven wrong. Its just nobody has ever given me a list of legit people on telegram
ardi62@reddit
the thing is Telegram behave like discord. we cannot search the solution via search engine such as brave or Google
firebreathingbunny@reddit
Telegram has a search function.
ardi62@reddit
well, you need to create a specific telegram account which is again it is not open access such as from search engine.
TheConquistaa@reddit
You could preview a certain message in the browser, unlike Discord. It's not an ideal way to access Telegram without an account, but it's still there. Look for any Telegram message link to check it out.
Delicious_Ease2595@reddit
You are right there is not good search silitt, recently they added tags for search results.
carpflo90210@reddit
Are you asking for websites that are somehow unknown but have traffic comparable to the 6th and 7th most visited websites in the world?
Electronicshad0w@reddit
Yeah, since you brought it up, is there another website where I can be harassed and get sarcastic, nonsensical, pointless replies from people like you using logical fallacies that don’t actually address the question at hand? You seem so knowledgeable. I thought you might know where else you harass people. Haha.
carpflo90210@reddit
leftist meme: plaintext edition
gamerlover58@reddit (OP)
That works. Or just a social media place that forms a similar function to reddit but has more freedom and privacy. For example reddit lays all your posts and comments bare for anyone to see so that compromises privacy
carpflo90210@reddit
rDrama [dot] net has a private profile toggle baked into the default user settings!
nickN42@reddit
You're really describing 4chan.
MaleficentFig7578@reddit
lemmy is for certain communities only
gamerlover58@reddit (OP)
I’m surprised nobody has mentioned twitch
ultradip@reddit
Both of those are just glorified chat rooms.
