Is an 'NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super' graphics card good for gaming? Or is it considered kind of low quality? I have nothing to compare it to so I'm wondering how well I will do with game quality.

It is still decent gpu for 1080p. I dont know why people are underrating 1660s.

My 1660ti has been a trooper for 2 years now. Overclocked to 2.0gHz but I can't get the vram above stock. I'm happy with it though. Runs all my games at 1080p medium/high at 144hz +.
It's not gonna be another 1080ti in terms of longevity, but it's got plenty of life left.

I have a 1660 super and I have yet to play a game that it couldn’t handle on high or better graphics.

Sorry for asking on an old post, but I'm looking to run shaders on modded minecraft, would it handle that well? As well as new games like arc and gta?

My reply is late af lol, but I’m currently running GTA 5 Story AND Online at 60+ FPS on Ultra settings. I’m so happy I finally got a computer that can run the games I want to play. I’ve never had one

Relatable! I built my own PC 7 years ago, was my first time and I was soo stoked! It was the first time I had a PC I could flawlessly run games on! I still have the same components to this day, the 1660 rocks!
Revolutionary_Fly607@reddit
That’s my exact same one. 1660 Ventus Super
Notaword55@reddit
I’m running bliss high right now with 16 chunk render distance and even though my gpu is suffering I still get a good 100fps.

Sorry for the late answer but yeah.

Came here just to see everyone’s opinion on it. Honestly, I just got my first ever gaming PC, and it has the GTX 1660 Super Ventus X. It has been able to run every game I’ve wanted to play on it, at almost max settings. I’ve been playing everything in Very High, or even Ultra, and most of everything is 60+ FPS on max, but averages 100 on high - medium. I’d say it’s a sweet spot. Even RDR2 looks damn good on it

"gaming" is meaninglessly vague.
Such_Cook_7566@reddit
This is meaningless, idgaf if this is necroposting but you know exactly what he meant.
DoDus1@reddit
Define what good for gaming means to you. Everyone's idea of good for gaming varies.

You’re a weirdo, you know what he meant I hate this shit on this app where people act like they have a really detailed understanding that requires constant clarification

My 1660 Super runs Detroit: Become Human average 55 fps on Ultra settings in 1440p
Beeman360@reddit
I’m very late but my 1660 survived a PSU blow out and it’s still working perfectly

I know I'm late to the party but I bought mine in November 2019, never did anything to it (no overclock) still running strong, just need to update my CPU and motherboard right now. No issues AT ALL, I can still run most games at high with 60+ frames, the only games I struggle with are CPU heavy games (why I'm looking to upgrade the CPU). I am thoroughly impressed its been operating for 9295 hours on JUST steam games with literally ZERO issues to report and I'm not seeing any signs of it planning on giving up anytime soon.
