op is smooth brained. distance must be kept regardless of whether you are satisfied with someone's speed. something that most drivers apparently are too differently abled to understand
wher I'm from, driving school costs 1500 eur and they will bust your ass if you don't keep distance. however, many forget that, once out of driving school.
Tailgating is literally NPC behavior. Imagine driving shackled to the car in front of you when you can just slow down and do your own thing instead. And get this, if someone is driving slowly you can just not get frustrated and embrace it. Tailgating and getting mad in traffic are both signs of an NPC.
Ya, sure, what next? Free water and a shelterd place for everyone?! That mofa infront of me, 10 below, clearly challanges my pride and only a deathmatch can resolve this situation!
I like living someplace where everyone has guns because everyone is courteous while driving just in case someone happens to be in a bad mood and be packing.
I’ve lived in both. I’d rather take my extremely miniscule chance of getting shot and live around a generally courteous and nice civilization than live around obnoxious assholes.
I shot a guy on a bike with a nerf gun from a car for being a dick.
Dude was riding in front of cars at like 10mph in a 30mph when there was a bike lane. He flipped his shit and tried to chase my car down with his bike lol
I make it like a minigame to drive constantly at the speed limit otherwise it's boring asf. Should anyone tailgate for long, I will gradually slow down just to assert dominance. Always fun to toy with micropenis road ragers
It’s amazing how assholes who want to do 10+ over all the time let two little yellow lines tell them what to do. You want to go faster, it’s up to you to make it happen.
The OP post is about a driver going 10+ under the speed limit, which is bad driving. I don't even know how your comment relates beyond being about driving. You whine about assholes that are aggressive drivers, but are seemingly encouraging them to overtake when it's not legal. None of this tracks with what the OP mentions at all.
Depending on the state, crossing a double yellow is fine as long as the person you are passing is impeding traffic and you aren't going over the speed limit to pass. Example would be to pass farm vehicles.
There was one day where I was driving back from visiting my nieces/nephew, where I encountered one of the mega slow drivers. It's a 55mph long country road, and the person was going maybe 30-35mph.
There are a ton of areas with overtake marks on the road, so I went to pass them. They GUNNED IT, so I'm going 65, and they were suddenly going around 75. I back off, return to behind them, and give it a minute. They're back down to about 40. Next time I try to pass them, they swerve into my lane, nearly sideswiping me. I had to stomp on the brakes to avoid being knocked into the trees.
Third time I didn't use a signal, and stepped on the gas, where I quickly moved into the passing lane and got around them. Lo and behold, the once snail's-pace driver was now tailgating me, brights turned on, and no matter what speed I went they were right on my ass. Goddamn nightmare. I was covered in sweat by the time I was able to get to the highway exit.

Anon. He is driving so slow because you are so close. It's called:
"pissing you off with the convenient reason that you wouldn't have enough time to react if something happens and so he has to slow you down further"

I like living in a place where no one has guns because I know I'm mostly safe from assholes with anger issues on the road
United_States_ClA@reddit
Yeah for sure, they couldn't do any damage while controlling a 2 ton alloy death machine at speeds the human mind isn't evolved to process
gravitydood@reddit
Just because they can do damage by hitting me doesn't mean I'm fine with them having guns to finish me off.
Plus I wrote "mostly" safe, of course these asshole are still dangerous.

What’s the common denominator for bad Philly drivers? I avoid that city like the plague for good reason, the drivers are one of them.

Why didn't anon just go around, flip him off, go in front of him, and toss a comically large stick of tnt behind?

I do the same thing. Nothing beats laughing at their rage in their face. Seeing them realise it was on purpose

I did it to a guy once who was being a huge dick, I must've done something to piss him off but he was driving like an asshole.
I'll tell you, I have never seen a redder man in my life than when I looked in my rear view mirror that day. It was hilarious.
