FIXED!!!READ STEPS BELOW
Before month ago i broke monitor that was plugged into my gpu(Never had any problems with gpu).I had to use old monitor which i can plug only into integratted graphics so i enabled IG in BIOS.Everything was working fine.Yesterday I got new monitor that i can plug into my GPU but when I plug into GPU THERES NO DISPLAY!!!When I connect it to Integrated Graphics then i have display.GPU is workning, fans spinning, everything connected properly like it was month before.Cable is working 100%.Other things i noticed:
1)GPU not showing up in task manager
2)Cant update drivers for GPU because it says i dont have nvidia gpu
3)When trying to install NVIDIA control panel it says "NVIDIA graphics card not detect in your pc"
I reformated my pc 3 weeks ago to boost performance. When I started using integrated graphics only my GPU was still showing up in task manager and i could enter NVIDIA Control panel normaly.Didnt noticed when all of that disapeared.I saw many threads on this subject but NO ONE updated how they fixed it..So if I fix this I will update thread with fix for sure to help other people that encountered same problem.
MY SPECS:
--------------------------------------
Proccesor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6500 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.19 GHz
Gpu: Nvidia Geforce 970 4GB
Motherboard: MSI B150M Grenade
Ram: 16gb
Windows 10 Pro
---------------------------------------
Thank you for any help you may provide!
FIXED!!!
STEPS THAT WORKED FOR ME:
1)Download Display Driver Uninstaller(DDU)
2)Shutdown PC and unplug GPU
3)Boot pc with monitor connected to Motherboard
4)Run DDU program you downloaded
5)On right side select GPU in upper box and because i have Nvidia gpu I selected Nvidia in lower box
6)On left side select third option that says:"Clean and shutdown(for installing new gpu". I assume it delete previous gpu drivers installed by windows.
7)After pc shutdown plug back in your gpu and boot it again and it will work.
When I booted display was stuck on 800x600 resolution but after I found latest drivers for my GPU and installed it everything was normal. On some threads I saw ppl saying "gpu is dead" ,"cable not working","try other PCIE slot","Ram memory not working"etc..Im glad I dont have any of those problems but if those steps dont help you it may be some problem I listed.Do this steps correctly in right order and I hope you will have your gpu working normally afterwards.

So this didn't work 3x, but then I tried doing it in Safe Mode and it worked!!! Thank you so much for actually detailing your solution. Spent days on the internet not having any luck with the usual suggestions.

Worked for me. My PC was not detecting my new amd gpu. I switched from a nvidia gpu to amd gpu and this fixed my issue.

Thank you so much for providing an answer! This worked perfectly for me. For anyone wondering: This fix made it possible for me to plug my monitor into the graphics card. The card did not show up in the hardware manager until I installed the drivers.
Man finally it works. I was starting to go crazy :D

I fixed it and I will update thread with the steps that helped me.I have thougt my gpu is dead but it turns out it was some driver problem.Fixed it with DDU.

I didn't change anything on my pc, then one day gpu stopped transmitting, so i started with the basic troubleshooting, check cables, restart, plug another monitor to igpu, bla bla bla.
Just followed your steps and it was an instant fix. Thanks.

This post was a lifesaver - old PC stopped transmitting signal via GPU when I changed monitors. This post is the only thing that solved it after 3 hours of tinkering. Thank you OP!
