FGC-9 with AR barrel?

So I just started an FGC-9 build. I planned originally to just use the barrel from my Glock 17 which I'll probably end up doing but I was wondering if anyone had attempted it with a 9mm AR barrel. I would rather try and use the FGC as a pistol carbine so I need a 16 inch barrel. Glock barrels of that size are pretty much non-exist and I doubt making a 16inch ECM barrel would be possible.
Has anyone tried this before? Or are there any reasons why this wouldn't work?

Any updates on the ar barrel? I was think about doing the same but with the fgc-9 "stingray".

I know it's a dead thread, but I've been working on a stingray upper variant to accommodate an AR-9 barrel. There are files out there for it, but they've had feeding issues in my experience.

I eventually just used a 16in uzi barrel. Fits relatively easy. And works great.

I considered that. But I already bought the barrel so I'm committed at this point. Guy on the sea uploaded STEPs and I'm decent at CAD so I should be testing it again this weekend.

It feeds much more reliably, but I didn't extensively test it.

I'm sure it's on a the odd sea site but what would I search to find this? Really wanted to print an FGC 9 as an homage piece for JStark but would gladly buy an AR9 barrel rather than doing all the ECM work. Thanks!
