(Old) Outlook suddenly bugggy/not working? Has Microsoft abandoned it for New Outlook?

Like the title says, Outlook has been going form bad to WORSE! This last month I've been just an Outlook admin. From sending/receiving meeting invites that loop and get sent 300 times, to corrupt inboxes, to caching and archiving that seems to delete files randomly... I *know* the Microsoft plan is to eventually depreciate Old Outlook and force us all into the online only no cache new version, but have they already stopped bug fixing Old Outlook or something??? Just this morning, had a very irate meeting with a VP who's inbox won't update (and he doesn't want to use New Outlook)... It caches his entire inbox, but when it hits 1 byte it doesn't finish, just continues updating... which seems to prevent Outlook from pulling new mail from the server. It works with the cache off, but he needs his inbox DL'd on his laptop apparently. Anyone else been experiencing Outlook fuckery as of late? And has anyone found a fix that's not make a new profile/delete OST/repair/re-install Office/turn off the cache/use new Outlook?

Nope we pretty much go nuclear option and rebuild profiles when the shit goes sideways assuming a quick/full repair doesn't do the trick. Just not worth the time investment trying to figure out what outlook shit the bed this week. As to it being increased, definitely but it's not epidemic proportions. Maybe 1 user out of 100 or so at this point. Hopefully doesn't increase... Also, fuck you Microsoft, nobody that uses old outlook wants new outlook. Like literally no one I support. When it switches itself we get panicked calls to switch it back, and literally every single person we've transitioned to the web version temporarily whole waiting for desktop to resync has damn near wept with how trash it is by comparison. People need to be able to sync email locally. We support shit loads of field users that are often working out in the cut where cell service itself is questionable, let alone 4/5g, or down in basement level 5 installing a commercial HVAC system or something. I'm not sure what their plan is to cover those sorts of applications but certainly seems like their plan is...too bad.

Microsoft has stated that they will support old outlook till 2029. Now weather that means they are just hosting the service or actually bug fixing who knows and weather the team behind it is well staffed or not is a diffirent question.
