I picked up one last week and it feels great and the slide moves smooth! I haven't got to the range yet but I noticed the standard Gen 5 Glock 15 mags don't lock into the gun while the MagPul Magpul 15s lock in with no issue!! This being closer to a Gen 4 Glock than Gen 3, I assumed the Gen 5 magazines would work perfectly!

Ok, so when I picked up mine, the rep at GrabAGun had OEM Glock 19 Gen 4 15rd mag and it fit, but tucked under the magwell, so have to send it home since sits a little deep, he also had a OEM G17 Gen 2 17rd mag and it stuck out. He also had had a ProMag for G17 and I like how the latter 2 fit. So I went to BassPro and picked up 2 ProMag G17 17rd mags and ran 200 rds thru it. It ran flawlessly. Slide locked back on empty on both mags. So I included a pic of the 17 rd mag. I want a baseplate exactly like the DY9 came with no luck so far. I hope this answered your question

From what I read, it takes Glock 19 Gen 2-4 mags, but the 15rd will seat lower than the magwell, from what GB Guns reviewed. I'm picking up my DY9 tomorrow & there's a GS here in Mesquite, TX, so I'll find out for sure how it fits 🤞🏻

Dunno about holsters since this one had a big rounded trigger guard. If they were going to make that change, why not also make the safety on the frame? Those Taurus/M92GT frame safeties are so excellent.

Interesting. I have seen them pop up on my local gun shops Gearfire website, also in the sub 300 range including all the fees, tax and shipping. I have good experience with Rock Island, but up to now the only ones I have purchased were actual Rock Island, Armscor produced firearms. I haven't messed with any of their imported products. Still though, a Glock compatible pistol at that price range is going to sell like hotcakes if it doesn't suck.

If you know you are going to eventually carry for safety, maybe your first gun should he the glock itself instead if a clone. Will save you money from having to buy twice. Your carry gun should never be from some rando manufacturer, always should be tried and true guns like glock and sig. If you already have a carry gun, and this is for funsies, then fuck it, do whatever.

Glocks are relatively cheap anyways. I got my g43x from the store for 550$ everything included (haggled like $25 tho lol).

Glocks you can get for like $500-$650 out the door depending on model and if theres a sale

Yes. There just aren't a lot of reviews out there about quality, etc. Generally, RIA is lower-middle-class quality - decent fit, decent parts, will run and run and run - the Toyota Camry of gun brands. They're likely to have slightly better customer service than Stoeger in the US, and slightly less than PSA since they're "locals," but the Dagger has had some decent quality control issues and likely needs parts like firing pings replaced out of the box if you intend to carry.

I'd say this is roughly equivalent to the Dagger, and someone else pointed out a $229 version that's optics ready in another comment. I have no problem with my RIA 1911's whatsoever, but I've also customized them, so I have no idea how they'd run stock.

For $199/$229, with better sights and a magwell included, I think this is a better value than the STR or Dagger.

Not to get into insane detail, but I've had buddies work at psa as machinsts and gun smiths, and it was nothing but a toxic work environment. They penalized them for doing qc on the parts they were making and assembling. So doing their job got them in trouble. It gets worse from there, but don't feel like typing all that up.
