Mercedes mechanic

Hi I bought a used 2016 Mercedes from European motors last week. It's 63k miles in odometer. The Carfax shows last oil change was done at 55k. Need a mechanic who can check and make sure if I need a oil change
I checked with the dealer and they are not sure if they or the previous dealer who sold it to them changed the oil before selling

Dallas European Auto off Plano Parkway around Preston. Kyle has serviced a couple different Mercedes for me over the years, they are very fair and knowledgeable. Please don’t take it to Pep Boys!

Hey man, saw you are a Mercedes mechanic in Plano. Looking to get some work done on my car without the crazy dealership prices.
Are you able to help?

i have a 2013 e350 and i bought it with an android series 11 screen--it connects to the phone but there is no sound. I took the car apart and verified that the 4 components on the fiber optic system were getting the blinking red lights to show connectivity, and i made sure the android was set to aux. the cables are all connected. does anyone know what i can do next, or how i can bypass the amp and hook all the speakers up to the radio? or how i can even get a wired signal from the system?
Significant-Advice-4@reddit
Look up a diagram I’m sure many have wired in an aftermarket radio before.

sorry, im not very adept with computers, where can i find a diagram and which diagram do you mean? for the fiber optic bypass?

Look up what you need on forums

Just get the oil change. By the time the mechanic tell you either way, you would have spent as much time and money as getting it done.

In all cases, the first thing after buying a used car is getting the oil and all filters changed…With that mileage I would also consider changing the timing belt, pulleys and the water pump. And since you are buying a used car with who knows what background, the transmission oil, steering and brake fluids. At least that is how we normally do it in Europe with used cars. I did not know that it is even a question here in the states. If you plan on keeping it for a long time just do yourself a favor and make sure everything is a 100%, after all any failure will cost you a lot more than being precautious.
Significant-Advice-4@reddit
If you don’t service the transmission often I recommend against doing a tranny service that’ll mess it up for sure just keep that thing sealed up.
bachir_22@reddit
Just get an oil change. It's safer than guessing wrong.

Yes I am thinking of going to pep boys today
phycon55@reddit
If you're looking for Mercedes specific mechanics, dont take a Mercedes to pep boys...

Man you should see how many times I get 100k+ cars in my shop with a Groupon for barrel oil. you can’t fix stupid 🤦♂️
No_Lingonberry_1165@reddit
sounds like a shady dealership if they won’t even change the oil b4 they sale a vehicle. smh
sarahsam2786@reddit (OP)
I did that and the oil is not black or even greezy
No_Lingonberry_1165@reddit
have you ever heard of a dip stick?

Bennett’s Motor Werks exclusively works on European cars. They did excellent work on my Audi

Get your oil changed and check the maintenance schedule. See if there is a severe driving schedule since majority of Americans fall into it.

Autohaus in Addison is where I take my wife’s car. Russel is an awesome mechanic.

Have enjoyed Autoscope on Plano Parkway for past two decades on VWs and MB.
You pay for what you get, and you'll pay a premium here.
They only use OEM parts and are incredibly knowledgeable and reasonable, IMHO.
sarahsam2786@reddit (OP)
Thanks I will check it out. I have had MB before and as long as you maintain correctly it's a sweet ride
msn23@reddit
Ummm just get an oil change.
M2D2X@reddit
5k oil change is what I would recommend.
Elbynerual@reddit
Well there's your problem right there
