The “anti-fudds” have become almost as bad as the fudds

I think understanding the difference between fudds and "2A people" (for lack of a better phrase) ties into the axioms that govern our political philosophies. Everyone has some base assumptions we make about political life, same as anything else. It isn't merely age that makes someone a fudd, but there's a correlation for a reason. A fudd is a person who views regulation of guns no differently than regulations of any other part of American life, which aligns with the fact that the Boomer generation probably put more regulations in place than every other generation combined and doubled. The size of the Federal Register exploded under their watch. **A 2A person is typically somebody who thinks the crowd/state needs to justify their behavior when it encroaches on the everyday citizen, while a fudd thinks individuals need to justify their behavior when it could affect the public/crowd.** A 2A person views the default condition of humanity is one where the individual is free to do as they choose and it is the state's responsibility to justify any of its' behaviors encroaching on the individual, in this case disarmament and regulation. A fudd views regulation as one of the inherent roles of government, almost as an axiom. This aligns with the fact that most of their lives they have been licensing and gatekeeping industries to protect themselves and their livelihoods, then they're surprised that America is not the capitalist bastion of "just start your own business" that it was when their parents wanted to do anything: build a house, get a loan from a bank, buy a car, import products from abroad, etc. [There is an appropriate meme for this that aligns with this observation](https://i.redd.it/7h1mwj3gcjd61.png)
