The Aerosmith Test

So here’s a funny story about Aerosmith. To begin, I hate Aerosmith, like almost as much as I hate Monet paintings. You could very easily torture me by locking me in a room filled with Monet paintings and blasting Aerosmith. I digress…. My story, I’m driving home from work one night in the pre-Covid years in the middle of a brutal upper Midwest winter. I guess i forgot to change the radio station from the classic rock station cause Livin on the Edge comes on just as I’m hitting the on ramp to the highway home. I’m probably only driving maybe 25 mph and hit a patch of black ice. I wind up entering the highway going across it with on coming traffic coming right at me. My first thought was not, my family, my life, my future, it was “I’m not dying to a damn Aerosmith song”. I over corrected and was headed directly for a frozen lake, again “I’m not going out to an Aerosmith song”. I recorrected, righted the vehicle, and drove home. And that’s the story of how Aerosmith saved my life.
