Ok, reddit's got a thing against doxxing, and even though this guy's number is on the truck, calling him to harrass him is still a violation of reddit's TOS so I'm removing this post and locking it. OP, you have a path, two paths actually, one is to file against your own policy and let your insurance subrogate, or file a small claims action against him which you'll win, probably by default, and that'll give you a judgement to go after his assets.

yeah he has a personal insurance policy on the truck but it states it can’t be used for business purposes. when i chased him down to show him the damage, he said “insurance, insurance, is no problem, insurance no problem” so i assumed it would be no problem. gathered all the evidence (pics texts dashcam footage witness account) and submitted them to his insurance. they came back and said sorry not covered!! then he gets mad at me for telling them and says it’s my fault for telling the truth

He could still be insured but under a separate business insurance. He may not know or he just doesn’t want to deal with you. Hope you get a resolution.

You can still file under collision without updating, will owe deductible but they'll refund if subrogation is successful

i’m definitely going to. i have sooo much evidence against him. texts, pictures, dashcam footage, a witness, even texts from him trying to convince me to call his insurance back and change my story to say the rocks fell from the truck not the trailer. just need to get his address to serve him

Another potential option, be it less ethical & more volatile, if you are unable to locate/communicate in other ways: Become a lead for their business, an inquiring customer. (Or a friend/family member) Use a Google phone number to call, or communicate solely through email/text. Just need to figure out an address to utilize. If you’re unable to find help or an address, let me know & I’ll take care of it.

he was dropping rocks off that plywood rigged up equipment trailer. the 2nd pic is of his workers trying to shovel the rocks forward. the 3rd picture was another victim who’s car suffered a similar fate but mine was worse because i was right behind him. rocks hit my car so hard it set off the impact sensor for my dashcam. cracked my windshield and caused paint chips in the trunk lid, front bumper, RF fender, passenger door. RR fender and spoiler.

oh and the kicker is i just paid $2,700.00 in february of this year to have the entire front end of the car from the windshield forward re-painted for rock chips that accumulated over time since it’s an old car…that moneys down the drain now

yep! imagine if my windshield cracked and i like swerved or lost control and someone got hurt! he took a big risk rigging that trailer up for rocks and not having insurance and made it seem like it’s my fault that it happened. ppl are crazy here i stg
