I wouldn’t call this a debate. Nonetheless, the issue is that it’s tedious and shit. It’s not an education on driving. It’s just a like 40 hour course of answering multiple choice questions. There’s no actual learning involved at all. It’s completely unnecessary due to the fact that you can’t get a license under the age of 18 unless you’ve held a learners permit for some extended amount of time. I think around a year. It’s not our version of testing a young driver’s abilities, or educating them on safety and the law. It’s our version of making the process a headache for people who should be focusing on actually learning to drive safely rather than answer questions about it for weeks.
