Why did you sell your vehicle to We Buy Any Car?

We were seriously looking at it for both our cars once. We were leaving the country and needed the cars pretty much up until the last day but also couldn’t risk still owning them a day later. We were both booked in to flog our cars to We Buy Any Car at 4pm on the Fri before flying out on saturday. My husband sold his on the Wednesday which was lucky cause his was the higher value one, and then we made do with my shit box until the Friday. At the last minute someone off facebook picked it up off me for a few hundred less than it was worth, but still more than We Buy Any Car was offering me. We were lucky enough to find last minute buyers but were also perfectly happy to flog our cars to WBAC for much less than we knew they were worth under the circumstances. The couple of hundred to £1k they would have knocked us down between the cars could have easily been eaten up by rental car costs had we sold them for the ‘right’ price but at the wrong time and needed to borrow wheels. Equally, how much would it have cost us to have cars still in our name as we flew away? Yes, they dont pay anywhere near what a car is worth, but they are very helpful when you find yourself between a rock and a hard place and need to flog a car fast. Its a win win if you’re a realist.
