Podcasters, content creators and streamers don’t know the people who pay for their content either, and yet people tip them or pay for their Patreons and no one seems to get angry or call people crazy for at their audiences. I don’t pay for OF, but have made money off of it in the past, and I don’t know what the big deal is in todays world. People seem intent on making others feel like complete idiots for paying for specific content when it comes to masturbation or sexual content, and yet will suddenly realise the value in directly supporting creators when it comes to another medium.

Yes there is plenty of toxic and predatory behaviour that can be involved in directly supporting content creators. But the world is a net positive imo when people can support content creators directly instead of having it siphoned and funnelled through even more predatory middle men who used to own these industries. I’m not sure why people get so condescending, judgemental and insulting when it comes to sexual content as opposed to when it comes to podcaster and video makers. Particularly if it’s helping people make their own money directly, as opposed to being controlled in a toxic industry by are essentially pimps with no regard for their wellbeing.
