The power grid is made up of smaller individual grids with little in the way of interconnections. Each sub grid consists of power generation facilities, transmission lines, sub stations and smaller lower voltage distribution lines. You don't have to destroy every single powerplant, line, and substation. You only need to sever one of those. You know those large power transmission towers you sometimes see off the highways. They usually operate at hundreds of kilovolts, and carry enough power to sustain entire cities and the military bases within them. All you really need is an hour, an angle grinder, a few extra metal cutting disks and a bunch of batteries and you can bring that tower town. Guess what, the generation and consumers would be cut off. The same is true with most other forms of critical infrastructure. You might remember in 2022 the Moore County substation attack was an event that left 40,000 people without power and was carried out by a single individual with one rifle. You clearly don't understand how vulnerable critical infrastructure is. Again, the guys that fly those predator drones need to eat, drink, and shit too.
