What were those early 2000s tiny MP3-player things?

Yes. Absolutely. Drag and drop interface with my laptop. Going from "portable" CD player (with backpack full of limewire'd albums) to several MBs of music in my pocket was a game changer. I like screaming podcasts on my phone, but all the adds on Spotify piss me off. Have been trying to get a new one for a while, they seem to have dropped off the face of the earth. The Zen stone had a little speaker too. Some came with preloaded, royalty free classical music. The early 2000s were wild... We were so ready for streaming and subscription based consumerism, but not quite ready to let go of the hardware. Kids will never understand how access to the internet would be delivered by post by way of CD for 50 free hours, which would end up as a coaster or garden decoration. I digress.
