Is RX 580 still being supported?

I've seen some other reddit posts and people were saying that AMD is not supporting RX 580 anymore, but right now I just installed an update for it, it's 24.4.1, and I'm really confused, was my GPU not updated to the latest update that it can handle, or the GPU is still being supported?
blackbloodpotion@reddit
You have 24.4.1 with the 580? I have a 580 and can't download past 24.3.1 I would love 24.4.1 so I can play Ghost of Tsushima without constant crashes.

Which RX 580 is yours? Mine is Sapphire RX580 8GB 2048sp
blackbloodpotion@reddit
I have the MSI RX580 Gaming X 8GB.
YaBoyPhoenix@reddit
yeah same. looks like 24.3.1 is the latest for us
blackbloodpotion@reddit
It updated semi recently for me. You have the RX 580 and still on 24.3.1?
YaBoyPhoenix@reddit
Not anymore. I got an update over a month ago. I’m at 24.9.1 now
ReggaeGandalfGJ@reddit
I still have 24.3.1, uninstalled the drivers and redownloaded the Adrenaline thing but still nothing.
Website says the same too.

About a month ago, I saw driver version 24.7.1 had been released, and I was happy that I finally got an update. But when I installed the driver, I experienced a lot of lag in games, and I kept getting severe FPS drops. I had to reinstall the previous driver version (24.3.1) After a while, I checked again to see if any updates had been released, but I noticed that version 24.7.1 had been removed from the website, which was really strange.

Currently downloading 24.9.1
ThePishro@reddit
I installed the new AMD driver version 24.9.1 and honestly it was really good. But now for the third time I’m running into this issue with this error message:
AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition Warning
The version of AMD Software that you have launched is not compatible with your currently installed AMD graphics driver.
For information on how to resolve this, please go to https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-300
For example, I shut down my PC come back the next day, turn it on, and I get this random error. It happens completely out of nowhere and idk why
Gnomo_Volt@reddit
after 24.9.1 it went completely to shit, even using DDU not ANY previous version works anymore, im desperate

I haven't been able to find solid info online about it, but rx 580s don't seem to be compatible with am5. Tried 2 different 580s on 2 different am5 mobos and got vga error each time, and when I mentioned it to a friend they said they had the same issue with a 580 and an am5 mobo
JustBeWolf@reddit (OP)
Well, probably bad samples. I have an RX 580 myself, and it works perfectly fine, my mobo is MSI pro b650-p wifi, paired with Ryzen 5 7600. Never had an issue with the GPU. To be specific, it's Sapphire RX 580 2048sp
FamiliarTomato4020@reddit
3 bad samples? Seems highly unlikely that I own 2 bad samples. They all are confirmed to work on every other mobo
JustBeWolf@reddit (OP)
Yeah that's really strange... Honestly this is the first time I encounter something like this, I heard GPUs should work on all motherboards no matter what generation it is...
FamiliarTomato4020@reddit
I talked to memory express a few minutes ago and the guy said that it's not common but sometimes they'll be incompatible with new stuff, but he also said it could be the specific brands of gpu manufacturer that could be fucking it
FamiliarTomato4020@reddit
Tech nerds online keep saying it's impossible that it's incompatible because all gpus are compatible, but then when I talk to someone more experienced they say, "oh it says (somewhere) that it's not compatible"
SuccessfulHat5776@reddit
last 2 update for my rx580 8gb 2048sp
18 June, 24 - 24.7.1
01 Oct, 24 - 24.9.1
So only SP getting update? or both the sp and non sp (580) getting update?
Ill_Exchange_2549@reddit
Anyone have any thoughts on why the DVI port on this card wouldn't pick up on a 3rd monitor? I had to get a DVI to VGA to connect to the monitor, but that shouldn't break it... I'd think. HDMI and DVI work great, but the 3rd monitor can't see a signal... anyone?
PrEdAtOr023@reddit
Yes AMD won't be coming with any improvement with their drivers for rx580. They will just be releasing drivers with only security patch for the gpu now
NoAsk2261@reddit
i got the 24.7.1 installed before i switched to 24.q2 but now i cant install 24.7.1 anymore it auto installs 24.3.1
russkij_bogatyr@reddit
I have 24.7.1. too. I was thinking about reinstall my windows, but today i checked amd drivers site and, well, this is not nice. I see too there is only 24.3.1.
I think there was time when amd allowed 24.7.1. But later they changed their mind.
