I’m in the market to replace my workwear, looking for brand and material recommendations.

Can you give an example of “not known for being trash quality”?

[Propper](https://www.propper.com) make good stuff. Their polos are more designed for security staff style shirts but that means they have some small pockets for pens and holes to run radio wires through. They last forever too. They run large.

Your humour may get lost if the OP is American.

I sweat almost instantly when doing physical things... probably some sort of heart disease... so I like shirts mde from moisture wicking fabrics... That and I can transition from my desk job to running wire in ceilings or crawling under desks without thought... most of the time just a quick blow from the compressor will get me looking alright to go back to the desk.

I like the BCG polos from Academy. Very light, breathable, cheap, and hold up well.

I don't know if they are available everywhere, but Britches seems to be a good quality shirt. I get them at George Richards when they are on sale, which is Canadian, but I see other stores carry them. I also found lately that despite being average height, some polo shirts fit better in a "tall" size rather than go up a size.

Haggar and Van Heusen. Kohls and Nordstrom should have them. J Ferrar occasionally from JC Penny. 29 Midwest USA.

Back when I bought my own clothing, I used to get much of it from Brooks Brothers, but I’ve heard they got bought out and the quality has gone down. I’d also occasionally get stuff from Saks and Neiman as well as Ralph Lauren Polo at regular department stores. Now my wife buys my clothing and she gets it from JC Penny and Kohls.

While not a polo, I'm a big fan of the port authority brand shirts - you can get short and long sleeved ones from amazon. They look good, are comfortable, and come out of the dryer wrinkle free. Big fan. Have several of them.

We put our branding on Port Authority shirts. They make top-notch branded polos. I’ve got enough of them as company swag to wear them for a work week without doing laundry.

I only buy Under Armour polos. I have some that are 10-12 years old. They are quite durable and hold up for a long time.

I mean, might as well get Ralph Lauren while you're at it. Get the drip for your team.

I live in Tennessee, so Under Armour or Nike dry fit for me.

I tend go with golf/sport branded ones like Nike/Under Armor/Adidas in the spandex/polyester type materials. I don't like the cotton material ones.

This is all subjective. I tend to roll with "I have no fucks to give office casual" collared shirts (golf or button down) that display no logo or brand whatsoever. I guess you are using "polo" as a generic term much like Coke is just a name for any and all sodas? As for material, just make it comfortable? This recent gig has me bouncing between office and manufacturing floor so I tend to go with lighter material. Texas heat does not play. Just pull the trigger on some stitch fix for a few months and then cancel.

It has been my experience that the Nike polo shirts are the most flattering for those of us who have sat in a chair a little too long.

Haggar, got mine at Kohls pre-covid, not sure if they still carry them. Got one of almost every color and rotate through them. Pre-covid I was in the office enough that each shirt got worn on average once every two weeks and they still look great with no wearing down of the material.
