Canadian here, debating going to college here or studying abroad.

Title. Canada is a mess right now as you can see. I'm looking at going to college to become a BA or a Data Analyst and I can't decide if I want to take the 2-4 years to learn the courses here or fly abroad to Europe and take the courses there with hopefully better job opportunities after I've graduated, what are your thoughts on this and what would you do in this situation?

Europe isn’t that good for job opportunities. I’d say it’s slightly worse than Canada, which isn’t that great.

You impact people's lives when you state your unfounded opinion as fact. The job market where I moved to is strong. Lots of places in Europe need workers to replace their aging workforces. They don't have the same rate of immigration as Canada.

What careers offer the strongest job prospects in the EU?

You can go to university in Germany for free as a Canadian. And there is then a path to citizenship. Which grants you EU citizenship.
I understand the mess in Canada. Moved to The Netherlands with my 15 year old daughter a year ago.

Hi there, Canadian/UK/EU citizen (Irish & Hungarian) here. Any advice for someone wanting to leave Canada and reconsidering the possibility of studying abroad instead of in Canada such as in Ontario? I am thinking of studying in IT. I don’t have the sufficient grades to enter university in Canada and likely not abroad but I certainly go to college or the equivalent in other countries (vocational education). I only speak English fluently. I don’t have savings of my own and been trying to find a job for awhile. My parents have money in the RESP that be used for education such as tuition and other education related expenses as well.

English lessons are cheaper in Ottawa compared to Dublin, Ireland. And Europe is not just English and French language like you have in Canada. A bit more of them and it means one of them needs to be learned first.
On positive side here in Europe you can study in English or French.

The fact that you just said "Europe" suggests you havent given this nearly the level of thought required to actually seriously move forward. The education systems in other countries can be vastly different than in Canada and there are few bachelors degrees in English and even fewer entry level job opportunities and internships for those who dont speak the local language to some degree. It will also cost you international tuition, which isnt cheap. Do you actually have any idea about the job market in "Europe" or are you just assuming its better than Canada.

The world is a mess really.

I’d study where it’s cheaper and you can afford it, with the same or better quality.
The ‘mess’ right now, is everywhere - just has different definitions.
You may gain cultural experience and skills from it (useful for an analyst), or issues from being abroad and an insecure HS graduate…or likely both…it’s a toss up, really.

If job opportunities are what you are concerned about, you are better off moving to the US, not Europe.
