Where should a couple in late 20s go for an all inclusive holiday?

Me and the GF are looking at going on an all inclusive holiday in August for a week, we've never been on this kind of holiday so dont really know what we're looking for. I've been researching but its a minefield. We've got around £3,000 budget
Here's what we want:
-
Relaxing time, chill on the beach and around the pool
-
Nice food with some variety
-
Nice spots to have a few drinks in the evening, we're not party animals, just like to sit in a bar and have a few cocktails in evenings
-
No screaming childeren around preferably
-
Not too fussed about going on excursions or museums but nice to be able to go for a wander round somewhere
Cape Verde seems to have the most included within the all-inclusive packages so seems like best value
Turkey also has a few that look nice but they often seem to charge extra to eat outside the buffet and charging for drinks after midnight (is this sort of thing normal? Or should this put me off?)
Any insight and suggestions from some seasoned all-inclusive holidayers appreciated
Cheers

Currently staying on Greek island of Zakynthos. They have some great adult only resorts. All inclusive for approx a week cost under your budget. Hotel is Tui Blue Zante Maris and it’s right on the beach, so you have multiple pools or the sea for water access, plus most ground floor rooms come with swim up access

If you're never going to leave the hotel then just go somewhere that looks nice and is cheap. Egypt is probably the best value these days. Never understood people who pay thousands to go somewhere like Jamaica then spend the whole time in the hotel.

We're going to north africa for an all inclusive holiday and my mother in law is complaining because there's no public transport links to the local towns and markets. I said my plan is to park up at the lounge and relax for 7 days with no phone. I can imagine it now, her in a big sun hat and flowery dress trudging down a dirt road for 10 miles to go to some smelly fish market to "enjoy" the local area.

Sounds like your MIL is going to have some epic adventures.

I'm with your mum. Sorry a holiday where you sit on your arse for day after day does not appeal to me. If you're going to a new country at least experience a small part of it.

Stayed on the quiet side of Tenerife in an all inclusive and it was very nice - it felt nice and peaceful but the more lively side of the island is only a quick journey away and there's lots to do

For the kind of holiday you are looking for, I was initially going to recommend Egypt, we went last year and the resorts there are incredible. Amazing value for money (way under your budget), with incredible facilities, multiple restaurants to eat at with no extra charge, all the cocktails and drink options you could imagine and the hotel even had it's own private coral reef for snorkelling in the Red Sea (all included at no extra charge.
However, we went in November. Going in August, I don't think it's necessary to go 5.5 hours on a flight and depending on your tolerance levels, it might be TOO hot (temperatures were mid to low thirties the entire 11 days we were there in November).
If you have your heart set on peak summer, you can't beat Greece; do some research on the various Greek islands but they all have something to offer and for £1,500 each, you'll get a very nice, adult only all inclusive.
If you do ever consider a similar holiday outside the "European season" though, Egypt is a great choice.

In August there is absolutely no point wasting money flying further than necessary if you’re going to go all-inclusive and want good weather. Pretty much anywhere in Europe would fit the bill nicely, just splash out on finding the most luxurious hotel you can find in budget.
If you want to avoid screaming kids then book an adult-only resort.
If you really want to avoid screaming kids then consider moving your holiday to July or September when the prices will be 40-70% cheaper outside of the school holidays.
My personal favourites will always be the Greek Islands - Crete, Rhodes or Corfu. Great food, good beaches and nice for some leisurely exploits if you’re looking for something to do during the day.

Good point about the flights, GF is a teacher so it has to be August. Others have suggested Greek islands so reckon i'll check those out

I just did Cyprus all inclusive, higher end resorts will have a range of different foods/restaurants, nice bars etc. I only left the resort twice.
Also if I do it again I'd go for somewhere that has a private beach again and then wont be intruded on by people selling wares, or other holiday goers with kids etc. Massively more relaxing not having people come up to you every 10 minutes trying to sell random crap.

If you can afford it, take a look at any of the hotels in the Nirvana Collection in Turkey or The Miramare in Side, Turkey they are very up market with Ultra All-Inclusive.
Not as luxurious but still incredible would be The Sol, Marrakesh.

One of the Greek islands, crete comes to mind, but most are good (do your research, for example, mykonos is a bit of a party island). You can find some nice adult only hotels on all of the islands.

Cape Verde is a long flight if you don't want to leave the resort, especially in August when you have all the choice of Europe. I would just filter your search to adults only hotels with direct beach access and go from there. Recommendations wise I liked the Tui Blue Zante Maris for adults only all inclusive.
