So right now i have Ryzen 5 5600g, and ofc i want to ubgrade and idk in which way i should start, i have 2 options. My budget is 400€. 1. I will buy rtx 4060ti and have it with that r5 5600g. 2. get a new i5 12400f and rtx 3060 for the same price as the 4060 ti. My main games are Valorant,Fortnite which are cpu based so idk.

i ned a budget option for it lol all your 300-400 cards are too expensive i need something to keep me above 60 fps in beamng on high graphics 1080
ryzvx@reddit
i ned to know if a rx 6600 or a 5500 xt would work with the 5600g
oldsnowcoyote@reddit
The 5600g is a pcie 3.0 cpu. The 4060 ti only b used 8 pcie lanes. The combination is not great. For this reason the 6700 xt or 6800 would be a better choice.

Just googled if the 6800 was a good choice for ryzen 5 5600g and it said the cpu will be bottlenecked. It says the 5600g is too weak? Is this right?
oldsnowcoyote@reddit
Depends what you are doing and what you expect out of it. If you have a 5600g already, then that cpu is going to be limiting you to a certain degree regardless of the card. But it can still be plenty good enough. It really depends on the graphics settings and the game.

I was asking for gaming at 1440p 60fps. I have seen a few youtube video's that show a rx 6800 combined with a 5600 or 5600g. So I am kinda confused.
oldsnowcoyote@reddit
Generally speaking, the 5600g should be fine there. If you haven't bought a cpu yet, the 5600 is better.
Realistic_Earth_3270@reddit
No I already have a 5600g. I was looking for a gpu that would get me into 1440p gaming though. I was hoping to keep it under three hundred dollars though.

Probably the 6750xt to stay under $300

I found a rx6800 for under 300. Isn't that a better deal? Just wondering if my psu is enough. It is 750w.

You should do well with that.

thanks..

Unless you care about DLSS and RTX you should consider an AMD card. There's not much point in getting an Nvidia card otherwise unless you're going all in on the best card you can get, since Nvidia cards tend to cost more than AMD cards.
Mysterious_Fan_9822@reddit
This is the worst advice i have ever seen. Amd is fucking mess with it drivers why would you say There is not much point. nvidia is way superior then amd.

Unless you're living in 2014 then what you said is blatantly incorrect, been using AMD since they got their shit together around 2016 and have had no major issues with their drivers, nothing worse than Nvidia that is.
Nvidias only strength nowadays is having the most powerful card and slightly better RTX performance alongside DLSS, otherwise, you're paying upwards of another 100$ for a card that tends to perform worse.

who knows maybe i am unlucky or most of the people which i refered below are unlucky too but there is one thing i know and its that i wil never buy any amd product again.
trissi2k10@reddit
Man, i have the 3600x, and its great. I dont know what you did with your pc, but mine runs so well with undervolt. Nvidia and intel are both overpriced and they only increase the voltage with each gen tbh
Mysterious_Fan_9822@reddit
im talking gpus amd cpus are fine
FLoppYT1@reddit (OP)
so i should keep that r5 5600g and buy amd card or buy new cpu and gpu to around 400€

Get what you want. Just come here for advice and then go from there. As long as you get what you want out of you pc you’ll be happy

You can use 4060 Ti with 5600G.
A 12400F or 5600X can get an extra 10-20% FPS at 1080P. And a 5800X3D or 7600X can get even more FPS with the same GPU at 1080P.
Only the 5600X and 5800X3D would not require a new motherboard however.

I have an ex 580 devil 8gb GPU it's an old card but still can handle 1080p it's crazy I have a question tho I'm using my rx589 with a ryzen 5600g do you think I'd actually see a good FPS boost if I went to the ryzen 5600x3d or 5800x3d? I want to get the 5600x3d ideally because it's cheaper and probably will run cooler.... Also isn't the 5600x3d faster on the clock speed than the 5800x3d so I think it would perform better for gaming? Anyone?
bblzd_2@reddit
I don't think it would make much of a difference with rx580 being the limiting factor though there could be some 1% and 0.1% lows improvments in certain scenarios (lower graphics settings, lower resolutions, more cpu demanding softwares).
5800x3D is better for gaming as 100Mhz lower boost clock is not a significant factor.
