It's been nearly 4 years, but I feel the need to ask...
How did this even happen? How did a semi recognized cartoon on nickelodeon get a shorts that was played before a movie for one of the most popular franchises in the world? (I think it's popular, the only Digimon thing I really got into was fusion, so I don't know if it's all that popular.)
Angela Anaconda actually aired on Fox Family, which is a sister channel to Digimon’s home channel at the time Fox Kids. 20th Century Fox just thought it would be smart to plug in one of its newer kids shows before a big property like Digimon. The short was later edited into an episode of the main Angela Anaconda series.
When Digimon The Movie released on Blu-ray, the Angela Anaconda short wasn’t included due to rights issues with the show’s current owner Wildbrain.
Jesus. I mean, I know anon is over reacting and his parents relationship was probably on the edge before the short, but shit... Look, I don't know who hurt you back then or what was going on, but you clearly were going through some stuff when you wrote this, as I honestly don't want to believe that you were this much of a fucked up shit head back when you wrote this. If you got some help and you're all better, that's great, more power to ya. If you haven't, then I seriously think you might need to talk to someone who can help you. So anyways... Best of luck to you and yeah, get some help if you haven't and good for you if you did
When you will always be a permanent reminder of the mom/dad's angst with eachother so you're the convenient target of their anger for the rest of your life
I'm sorry but I don't get why are people mad about Anon in this story, I've seen some comments calling him the r word and stuff, are people mad because he cried??? From what I understood he was a pretty small child when seeing the short so it would be normal to cry I believe, or am I missing something?
I've got a Mandela effect going on here because I saw the Digimon movie in the theater as a kid, and I do NOT remember this short being shown before the movie at all. Either my mom and I ran late and we missed it, or I just tuned it out.
I straight up don't believe for a mf second that this story is true, unless this dude was so braindead as a kid that he missed the beginning of the skit where Angela literally says they were waiting in line for the Digimon Movie. Pretty sure that was a common gag for kids films back in the day.
I was honestly thinking to myself "how the fuck was this show on air?" Got curious and found out it ran for 3 seasons, needless to say I was surprised.
GOD I forgot how much I disliked that cartoon, I hate it so much I’m always blocking it from my memory. One day like 10 years ago my sister and I were going crazy trying to remember the name of “that ugly cartoon”. We just kept googling “ugly annoying cartoon girl early 2000s”.
Now Discotek Media are going to re-release Digimon: The Movie without the Angela Anaconda short due to licensing issues. Anon can finally rest a little easier.

Wait...wait... an animated short with kids chanting "digimon! Digimon!" comes on, the family watching thought they went to the wrong movie???
Angela Anaconda didn't cause the divorce.
Lack of common sense did.

I'll take "things Anon made up" for 500.

>Be whiny autist who was an “oopsie” baby
>Parents hate each other for years for the retard they created
>Dad starts surfing porn 8 hours a day and is fired from his job
>He now can watch porn 16 hours a day but only watches one video - Angela White deepthroats the huge black anaconda
>He’s so obsessed with it that he puts on blackface and has his wife call him the Big Anaconda
>One night Dad gets home late and hears moaning in the bedroom. He walks in to find Mom getting railed by the UPS man, in real blackface
>Dad shoots the UPS man and sticks him under the floorboards and they both agree to never discuss it again
>3 years later. The retard wants to see a movie. Things have been going well between Mom and Dad since the incident and they agree to go
>As their sitting holding hands in the theatre while retard faps under his jacket, a face appears - It’s Angela Anaconda
>All of a sudden their PTSD kicks in and they both start screaming. Within hours the marriage is over
>Why is Anon such a home wrecker?

I hated it, but my mom liked to watch it watch it when "I was watching TV".
I'm guessing it was on point for some lonely adults in the 90's.
