Does anyone remember this poem/story covered in GCSE English (around 2003)?

It was a poem or short story about a woman made of clay or mud, I’m sure it was by a feminist author. I remember it made me really uncomfortable. Over the years I’ve thought I’d like to read it as an adult to see if it really was as unsettling as I remember but have can’t find it online anywhere.

Is it Galatea by Madeline Miller? Not read it, but the woman made of clay sounds like the pygmalion story

Carol Ann Duffy and Margaret Atwood were names that came to mind but when I search lists of their work I can’t find it.
