Anniversary ideas?

You could see what's going on at klyde warren and use that as part of your date. They have a website with a calendar of events and often have all sorts of free stuff. From there you could walk to the museum of art which could be half a day's worth of walking around. I'd say start at Clyde Warren and then finish off at the museum so you're an air conditioning. Alternatively, you could check out Fort Worth and walk around the stockyards for a day. Either get a hotel in the stockyards if there's one that takes your points or get one downtown and drive to the stockyards. It's like a 6 minute drive. Like downtown dallas, there are restaurants and such downtown Fort worth. And if you get a hotel near the square there's sometimes events at the square. It's decent to walk around. We love hotel drover at the stockyards but that's probably way out of your budget. For dinner, you can't go wrong with Trulucks. $200 should get you most everything you want unless you both get crab legs and a bottle of champagne. If you go to truluck's absolutely get the baked Alaskan dessert. You could also try Dakotas underground but I haven't been there since they closed and reopened under new ownership. It's an interesting experience at the least but the food is going to be better at trulucks. You could also check out The rustic in uptown. They usually have live music and a fun vibe around midday lunch time. Truck yard in lower Greenville is also fun and expensive. Could be a good place for lunch if you are in the mood for Philly cheese steak which is amazing. Most every time I've been there on the weekend they have live music. Then you could potentially do a little walking around and shopping is there a couple little shops in that area. The science museum in Dallas I think is inferior but a lot of people enjoy it. I've been to much better science museums. I guess there are a few cool things. As you mentioned the aquarium is really good but personally I would avoid the Dallas zoo. I feel it's a bit rundown and don't think it's put together well. And also seems like they regularly have animals dying and getting kidnapped. The Fort Worth zoo is a Superior zoo. Only thing I will say about the Dallas zoo that I did like was the hippo enclosure but even that seemed way too tiny. Downtown Dallas has probably changed a ton since I last lived there so they're probably more hip and up-to-date things to do than what I mentioned.
