Guessing the drug user

I don't think you *can* accurately predict, bc sometimes it's the ones you'd never suspect. You can take me as an example of this. I was a goody-good straight-A student who was afraid of doing anything that could get me in trouble, and was utterly uninterested in dating or sex. My upbringing wasn't overly conservative, and my parents weren't strict at all: as long as I didn't do anything stupid and was responsible with my education, I had no curfew or rules. The threat of losing that liberty was enough to keep me in line and not feeling like I needed to rebel. I was a good kid bc I despise being 'managed' and appreciated the trust that my folks gifted me. No one would have expected me to color outside the lines, so to speak. College gave me the opportunity to dabble without fear of reprisal, and I was shocked to discover that weed was A+ for helping with my sleep issues and anxiety. At 40, I still smoke most nights bc surprise!- turns out that weed really does serve medicinal purposes, and my ADHD ass benefits hugely from being able to slow down enough to fall asleep. My kids are 15 and 13 and I haven't hidden it from them bc they're smart as hell and I suck at lying lol. They know the benefits and risks, and are aware that it's best to abstain until they're adults due to the neurological changes weed can spur in a developing brain. They have a healthy respect for science and understand that the natural consequences of their choices are reason enough to stay mindful when making decisions. It's all about balance and moderation in all things. Maybe dudes are easier to pin down somehow? I dunno. But when it comes to girls, the potheads aren't so easy to pick out.
