Urban Exploration?

Hey everyone are there any urban explorers in this area? Any good locations to check out. I have seen a couple small spots but haven’t really checked any out.

Coming back to awaken this old thread. Anyone here still active in the local (North DFW) urbex scene? I recently discovered that there are other people like me out there and was delighted to find this community 🤗

I’ve always wanted to check out the tunnels under Colin creek mall

rode a motorcycle through them, not much to see. Got to the end and there was a pretty decent-sized water snake (possibly a mocassin) made me regret going through it as visibility was low

I've walked it before, years ago when it was an extremely dry summer so the water level was very low. From where La Madeleine on 15th is to the Oaks apartments. Not much down there. Mainly debris from heavy rains. Most interesting this was a shopping cart. Oh, and there's tunnels that branch off on the sides, inlets from the storm drain system. The coolest things was the ammonite fossils in the actual creek bed.

I found a 90# ammonite up north.
Just rafted rowlette from oak point to casaama and it was all shopping carts and golf balls.

There is a homeless encampment under the la Madeline entrance right now.

They routed the creek under the mall parking lot when it was built, with big storm drains. You can see the start of it here. I heard they were going to dig it up and expose it as a water feature for the new development. Google Maps Link

Used to be a diy skatepark down there from what I heard

They are all replaced with 3 brand new giant half mile culverts.

Really tough in Texas. Can't really publicly condone it as 99.999% of it would be illegal

I’m not concerned with legality 😁

Ain't about the law it's about getting some high velocity lead in your body.

Texas Criminal Mischief after dark laws, a real quick way to become magnetic.

I have to nit pick as a paleomagnetic geophysicist. Lead isn't ferromagnetic.
notapaxton@reddit
😂 Ok fine, lead poisoning.

Private property. No federal land. No right to roam. The mineral wells baker hotel was sick. They had locking chambers for mineral water baths that looked like torture devices

The triple underpass near Collin Creek, Old Buy Buy Baby or Bed Bath and Beyond Stores, old EDS campus. If you want it to be nice and legal, go the Willowbend Mall. You will have the place to yourself even though it's open.
zatchstar@reddit
The EDS campus is about to rebuild so that one one be available much longer
