Submission statement: anthropogenic global warming is partially caused by the massive amount of heat generated and energy consumed by the billions of digital devices we use. Some of the worst offenders are data centers, dense concentrations of computers stacked together. For about a decade or two, it's been more and more commonplace to create "homelabs", smaller versions of data centers at home. Nowadays thousands if not millions of people have such homelabs. The scale of each can vary, but they can (and often do) become significant in size, energy, and cooling requirements. This all fuels further the warming, perpetuating the cycle.
