What happened to the kids from "World's Strictest Parents'?

I've been binging full episodes on YouTube. They all follow the same formula where at the end the kid ends up complying.
Do you reckon they behave afterwards or not? What did they and their parents /host get out of it?
There was one where a girl pushed a teaching assistant and tried to light up a cig in the classroom.

I don't think that's him. The facial features don't match as much and the age is pretty off as well

😁 lol it's true! And the clapping.
If the camera's weren't there them kids woulda been FINISHED!
Coombesy941@reddit
Parents would be finished you mean.... We don't put up with parental abuse... Just because you do doesn't mean we all do
ArtoriasBeaIG@reddit
They get money out of it
It's not a serious attempt at therapy or anything it's an entertainment show
It's not there to help them, if it was it wouldn't be televised
Canazuelan47@reddit
the fact that they didn't make a Canadian version of this show is beyond me! The kids I went to school with were pretty terrible just like the UK and Aussie kids in WSP.
GruesomeBalls@reddit
We had Degrassi.

A girl from my city went on that show. I didn't know her personally but there were rumours that she was just acting for the cameras the whole time and she wasn't really rebellious or badly behaved in real life. She seems to be pretty successful now.
theboundlesstraveler@reddit
Was that Shola from one of the India episodes?
RoyalyMcBooty@reddit
Absolutely not. Those shows where designed to "fix" families for the camera, then leave them to their own devices and return a few months later to capture how they had slipped straight back into whatever shit situation they were before!
Same formula for the shows with bad dogs, the one with fat families, the one with messy homes etc
Beneficial_Ad_1072@reddit
Honestly, it’s better than nothing. OP nor the show implied that they aren’t left to their own devices after the show, it’s not about ongoing support, they don’t include professionals, councillors or sign them up to any programmes. It’s literally a week lol.

Kitchen nightmares too. 4 act structure with ad breaks.

I've never watched the show but I get the concept but?
'There was one where a girl pushed a teaching assistant and little up a cig afterwards!'
That sounds pretty tame to the shit we used to get up too thankfully it's not always school or parenting that can leave a good impression on them and they are smart enough to know right from wrong and always be willing to learn and try and be a decent person.
I wasn't the best kid not the worst foundations but the lessons are always there I feel like.
My best lesson was being humbled now it's the best way to live never let the ego rule you Lol World can take as well as give.
Canazuelan47@reddit
That was the Buenos Aires episode. The girl had ADHD/anger management issues.
