This. There was some other damage there, (maybe a chip, never know) and the temporary, get it done in an hour so it can fly, repair was to trim clean and seal per the maintainence manual allowances.

Flaps don’t chip. It probably began to delaminate and maintenance blended the flap. The damage has be recorded for future inspections.
