Death or near-death that is supposed to be tragic but end up kind of outlandish, morbidly funny or just surreal should be coined as a Caesarian Assassination

(Disclaimer: Not trying to make fun of assassinations --or of anything-- just a wacky idea based on how unserious reactions towards assassinations can be at times)

I tend to randomly think back to that time when the insurance CEO was assassinated-- and how unsolemn about it a lot of people online were, what with the way people were cracking jokes about " Unfortunately, sympathy is not covered by my insurance plan" or " he was shot by bullets engraved with lines that sound like a load-bearing mantra from Dune...by a guy who sounds like JK Rowling's attempt at naming an Italian character"

...and of course, there was that lesser, more turbulent version of this when that debate fellow's life was cut short, and it was only when I thought back about the 15th of March and all those stabbing jokes about ol' Caesar that this phenomenon ( do doo dodo do) made me do some thinking

And you know what...I'm sure Caesar's death was pretty tragic when it happened...and still is to some people perhaps...despite how funny it is now.

Which is why I would like to submit the crazy idea: That any death that, by principle of being a death, is totally tragic, but for some reason it's found to be either outlandish, incredulous or just plain unbelievable enough for some...or illicit a little laughter for others...it should be called a Caesarian assassination.

And it doesn't even have to stop at high-profile deaths or even deaths--it can be for near deaths too!

Like that time Andrew Jackson was almost assassinated and beat up his attacker.

Or all those times the CIA almost got Fidel Castro

Or when your buddy almost died cause he got cocky on the rock climb that one time, but he didn't die and since you were sure at that time that his death was not in the offing, he's now Icarus in the group chat--that can count too
